Characters: Tusra and Anastra.

As soon as they left the presence of the King and Queen, Anastra ran away from Tusra, feeling blood trickle down her face. Tusra tried to chase her, but he stopped as he felt like she needed the time to herself. He entered his room and closed the door behind him. Taking his half-moon monocle off, he slide down the door and sobbed. He had never seen the King so angry that he actually lashed out at Anastra before. He hit her with some force with the speed she fell back into him. There wasn’t a damn thing he could do about it. Laying his head back onto the door, Tusra let the tear roll down his face as he thought of a way out for the Princess. There must be some loophole for her.

He tried to think, but the overbearing sound of Anastra’s tears from next door broke his heart tenfold. He must see her. He has to.

Removing all evidence of his tears, Tusra tidied himself up and knocked on the door. “Leave me,” she howled in reply. Ignoring this, he opened the door and was greeted by a smashing glass, very close to his head. “I said GET. OUT,” she screamed. Tusra looked around and saw that the usually beautiful room was a mess.

“My god, Anastra it looks like the Wind God himself came to visit.” He breathed softly. He then noticed her bleeding face. “You are bleeding, let me help.”

“No! I told you to leave. I want you to leave. You MUST leave. OUT OUT OUT! GET OUT!” She ran towards him, and he grabbed her before she could do any damage.

“Listen to yourself! You need to calm down. I am here, I will always be here for you. Please, let me help.” Anastra was silent as she looked into his eyes. She had seen he had been crying as well and looking away she relaxed. Tusra let go of her arms and she placed on hand on his chest and gently pushed him out of the room, closing the door behind.

Tusra placed his head on her door and stayed silent for a moment. “Master Greylock, are you alright?” came the familiar voice of D’haral. Tusra smiled weakly and shook his head.

“Thank you D’haral, but no. I can see myself back to my room, thank you,” he said and walked back to his room with as much stability as a baby deer.

An hour or two had gone by and Tusra had been staring out of his window, blankly. Originally he was pleasantly watching the rain fall onto the glass before he lost all consciousness and just zoned out. He didn’t even react when there was a knock at the door.

Anastra entered and saw him in this state, Tusra blinked himself back into the room and realised the Princess had entered. He stood and bowed “Forgive me Princess, how long—”

“I just arrived,” she said and held out a medi-kit. “Please, can you help me?” she asked plainly. He nodded and guided her to his bed. He cleaned her wound to the best of his ability and chanted a spell to stop the pain and help the healing process. Once he was done, there was silence between them.

“Let me, uh sort your hair out. Turn please,” he asked softly, she did as she was told and faced the wall so Tusra had clean access to her hair. He began to unpin what was left of her messy up-do and unravelled her hair 'til it reached its entire length. He began to brush her emerald green hair, but Anastra moved, and kneeling on the bed, faced him and leapt into his arms, billowing tears and seeking comfort. He held her tightly as he let his tears flow as well. He kissed the top of her head

“I swear to you that your Father will never lay a hand on your again. Not if I can help it.”
