Truth or Fact

It's All Perception

What do you see? A light? A bulb? Darkness? What does the human eye see first? Do you see the reflection of the light illuminating off of the wall and the shadows of lines that it creates? Do you see the details and the intricacies of the bulb design? Or do you see the whole picture itself and nothing stands out to you?

Can you answer the question without categorically placing yourself in the mass population that is drawn to light? Can you honestly say your eye is drawn to the darkness and the impressions of lines in its back drop? Or is it factual and truth telling that you see the light illuminating out of the light bulb reflecting back the room in which it illuminates? Or is it true that you see the big picture without any items standing out to you?

Here's a thought: perception in truth and perception in fact. Which do we believe in? Which do we hang on to when there is a debate, voting, research, program development, strategy implementation and conversations that involves the "right facts"? Do we dive into the reality that humanistic perception is just that and we live in a world that is built on imperfect humans that have structurally built societies based on a flawed illusion that what they believe to be true is what is to be used to build communities? Or do we question every facet that we believe to be true and allow it to be?

We are taught that questioning is disrespectful, and we are to listen to rules and constructs that rely heavily on individuals writing and creating it. From the beginning of our "learning years" we are taught rules, disciplines, what is societally correct or incorrect and how to follow rules/laws/policies to be proper citizens. We aren't taught to question, dissect, or dive deep into conversations. It is considered impolite to ask why or how.

Without learning to question we are without knowledge. When we are without knowledge, we are a community who relies heavily on individuals brave enough to be brought to the table and these are the individuals that create what the masses are taught to be fact and truth.

What if I told you that perception in truth and perception in fact is developed by experience, influenced by individual ideology and implemented based on the individual’s preference?

Both is different yet we believe it to be cut from the same cloth. When we dissect what is truth and what is fact we dissect the reasons we decide what we believe in based on experience, wisdom and education. The reality is truth and fact are developed based on humanistic and scientific ideals, so really I ask, what is truth and what is fact.

In this we have a development of individual perception. So in turn what is truth and what is fact is biased on the person's reasoning, speaking, researching and writing. We aren't taught to question, but maybe philosophers (title) had a point to question ideals and start conversations that expand the human mind complex.

With the knowing that truth and fact are biased based on the individual themselves how do we know what is said then heard and written then read is truth or fact. We don't. We fall into a cycle the dilutes and sugar coats truth to fit the mold in which we blindly live in.

So, reader I ask, do you still believe that fact and truth is pure? Or do you believe it is perceptive fact and perceptive truth?

Stay tune for more mind twisting and mind-bending pieces.
