These Characters May Very Well Be Featured In 'The Book of Boba Fett'

The highly anticipated next entry in the Favreau/Filoni-verse coming to Disney+ is The Book of Boba Fett. It is expected to be a dark and gritty action thriller with Robert Rodriguez joining the crew as a producer. After his successful Star Wars debut with "Chapter 14" of The Mandalorian and his interpretation of Boba Fett, Rodriguez is a welcome addition to the crew. However, if Fett is to solidify his claim to the Hutt Cartel throne, he will need competent fighters at his side in addition to the lethal sniper, Fennec Shand. While IMDb has confirmed that other bounty hunters will be appearing in the show, there have also been whispers circulating that characters from The Mandalorian will appear to assist or oppose Boba. Here are some of the characters who are hopefully on deck to appear in The Book of Boba Fett.

Greef Karga

The magistrate of Navarro and one of the Outer Rim's snappiest dressers, Karga seems to have gone legit since his days of distributing bounty picks. However, with his deep ties to the Bounty Hunters' Guild, Karga is always in play when it comes to scum and villainy. With his connections and influence, he could be a good contact to have for Fett. And with a mutual friend in Din Djarin, perhaps their meeting will occur onscreen in December. The more time Carl Weathers spends onscreen in the Star Wars universe, the better, in the humble opinion of this writer.

Cobb Vanth

The former wearer of the Fett armor, Vanth seems like a simple man, content to make his own way in Mos Pelgo. With Fett now seemingly headquartered on Tatooine, are we headed for a showdown between red turtleneck and black robes? Or could Fett see Vanth as a potential ally? Given the right tools, Vanth can certainly handle himself in a gunfight, and there are certainly worse faces to look at onscreen. With the accolades and acclaim that "The Marshall" is garnering, it certainly would make financial sense for Disney and Lucasfilm to want to pursue that storyline. Jon Favreau seems to have shelved Vanth for now, given his final exchange with Mando, with both characters hoping to cross paths again. Could they dust off Vanth for another romp across Tatooine, or are they saving him for a later interaction with Din Djarin? Only time will tell.

Dengar

The Corellian bounty hunter has a longstanding working relationship with Boba Fett. During the Clone Wars, Dengar works alongside a young Fett, Bossk, Embo, Latts Razzi, and C-21 Highsinger in the bounty hunting syndicate Krayt's Claw. From there, Dengar builds a reputation of being an effective, if less than subtle, bounty hunter. Favoring explosives and heavy weapons earn Dengar the nickname "the Demolisher." As the years progress, Dengar undergoes multiple voluntary cybernetic surgeries in an ill-advised attempt to stay at the top of his game. A grizzled underworld veteran like Dengar could prove to be a valuable asset for Fett.

Bossk

Like Dengar, Bossk has a history with Boba Fett and a compelling character design. The Trandoshan has already proven to be a favorite of Dave Filoni with his appearances in The Clone Wars usually alongside an adolescent Fett. Bossk takes on more of a guardian role in Fett's life as opposed to mentorship, but he still teaches the young clone several important lessons about life as a bounty hunter. With a ferocious god to please in the Scorekeeper, Trandoshan society all but demands violence. Bossk would have plenty of opportunity to score kills for his deity if he shows up in The Book of Boba Fett.

Migs Mayfeld

The recently christened fan favorite Migs Mayfeld has proven himself valuable as an inside man when it comes to confronting the Empire. As the Imperial Remnant is still clearly a threat in the galaxy less than a decade after the Battle of Endor, Fett could certainly use Mayfeld if he ever comes under any Imperial entanglements. As an ex-Imperial marksman, Mayfeld is no stiff in a fight and has proven himself in several high pressure situations. Unfortunately, Mayfeld cannot possibly be appearing in The Book of Boba Fett as he is killed in the refinery explosion on Morak in "Chapter 15" of The Mandalorian. *wink*
