I don't know about you, but I am super happy about the anime selection on Netflix. That being said, there is definitely an overwhelming amount on there. So what's worth watching? What should you be looking for? I got you covered. This guide will include many different genera and lengths of anime for anyone's taste in anime.

Violet Evergarden

Stunningly animated, captivating story line, and endearing characters, what else could you want? This anime has 13 episodes, one special, and a movie. We follow a young girl, traumatized by war, as she goes through her journey to learn what love is by writing letters for people to send to loved ones. It is touching and beautiful. If you're in the mood for something to make you feel deeply and to cry a little (a lot), then you should definitely watch this anime

13 Episodes, 1 special, 1 movie. Genre: Coming of Age. Made in 2018.

B: The Beginning

Missing Death Note (which is not on this list but is on Netflix and definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it)? Then this is the anime for you. It's a murder mystery with mystical aspect, but there is a lot more action. I don't want to give too much away, but this 12-episode anime is action-packed and intriguing. I'm also a sucker for the animation.

12 episodes. Genre: Psycho-Thriller. Made in 2018

The Devil is a Part-Timer

Looking for something funny, simple, and easy to turn your brain off to? Then you should turn your attention to this anime. It's utterly goofy and the characters are literally out of this world. The Devil ends up in Japan after a major battle and decided to get a job working at a fast food joint. And he takes his job very seriously. It's definitely worth a watch.

13 Episodes. Genre: Comedy. Made in 2013.

Maid Sama

Hardass high school class president Misaki is known for her iron fist and no bullshit attitude. It turns out though that she works at a Maid Cafe to help her family out. No one knows this until Usui, the high school bad boy heartthrob, finds out on accident. This leads to one hell of a love story. This anime is feel good, cute, and perfect for anyone in the mood for a romantic comedy.

26 episodes. Genre: Romantic Comedy. Made in 2010.

Erased

Erased is absolutely amazing. Satoru is a man with the rare ability to start over after a tragedy that happens around him. He's given a little bit of time to change the outcome and save others. After one particular tragedy, Satoru, age 29, is sent back to the 5th grade to change the course of the future.

12 episodes. Genre: Mystery. Made in 2016.

Castlevania

Castlevania is adapted from a Japanese video game. The Netflix original is just incredible. The voice acting it probably one of the best I've ever experienced. Taking place in ancient times, Dracula wages war against the humans because they killed his human lover for witchcraft. It's terribly (amazingly) gory. And in separate scenes, it's quite sexy.

22 Episodes. Genre: Horror/Romance. Made in 2020.

Sirius The Jaeger

Werewolves and vampires are always where it's at. Yuily, the main character, is a part of a group of vampire hunters. He is, of course, working to avenge his family who were killed by vampires. The fight scenes are incredible and the characters are lovable. This is the type of anime you can watch in one weekend. Short, entertaining, and beautiful.

12 Episodes. Genre: Action. Made in 2018.
