"The Quantum Futurist"

"This," he said, holding up the device for Sarah to see. "This is the future."

Sarah leaned in closer, her eyes widening in surprise. The device was unlike anything she had ever seen before. It was impossibly thin, with a smooth, glossy surface that seemed to shimmer in the light.

"What is it?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It's a quantum computer," her friend replied. "The most advanced technology in the world. And I've got one of the first models."
