This past little while, Disney has been pushing out the marketing of The Mandalorian season 2 by putting out first looks via images, screenshots, interviews, posters, and even video clips from behind the scenes of the series. The hype surrounding The Mandalorian season 2 is at its highest peak after a plethora of images emerged from Entertainment Weekly, Disney+, and, of course, the teaser trailer.

After releasing those highly anticipated bits of marketing, of course Disney just had to shock the world with the premiere of official teaser trailer premiere. Star Wars fans got super excited with the teasing of new (and seemingly familiar) locations and enemies, giving the internet a chance to break down the theories and speculation from the trailer. With the premiere of this most excellent teaser trailer, it sent shockwaves to Star Wars fans all over the world and across social media, earning positive reactions from many people globally. Another achievement came in the form of the show earning a total of five Emmy Awards as the news had been circling around several days ago.

In the survey from Rotten Tomatoes, Disney+ series earned the most votes for fall’s most anticipated returning TV series, beating other highly anticipated TV series such as Fargo, This Is Us, His Dark Materials, and The Crown. With the lack of live-action Star Wars content since the release of Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker back in December 2019, the hype for The Mandalorian season 2 has been boosted. Of course, this is also due to the unique narrative and compelling show-running dynamic duo, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. In fact, one could argue that they are the main reason for the high levels of excitement from Star Wars fans.

The Mandalorian season 1 was a tremendous success. It was well grounded and served as TV’s most in demand series all around the world during the show’s premiere last November. It seems very fitting that this Disney+ series topped everything with another survey in terms of high fan anticipation. With the premiere of The Mandalorian season 2 will be a game changer, as we hear some rumors hinted about having the iconic Star Wars character and fan favorite, Ahsoka Tano, in an episode, possibly serving as an introduction to her own live-action spinoff series with Rosario Dawson starring in the role alongside Captain Rex and Sabine Wren from the animated shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. We have even heard rumors that Disney and Lucasfilm are trying to tie in and connect multiple live-action Star Wars series together. It would be interesting to see how all of these characters would fit together in the narrative as a whole, but so far, there has been no official confirmation, so we will just have to wait.

Many Star Wars fans cannot wait for fall’s most anticipated returning live-action TV series: The Mandalorian season 2. Star Wars fans just have to wait and be patient until The Mandalorian season 2 premieres on October 30 on Disney+, and perhaps watch all of the episodes that follow in subsequent weeks to see if the rumors are true. The Force is strong with this one.
