Enjoy!

"Doctor," mumbled Akash under his breath. Panic captured his heart like a spider, trapping it's prey. "Doctor!" Akash was now rapidly beating the Doctor's shoulder, urging him to listen.

"What is it b-." The Doctor stopped in his own words upon witnessing the sight. A man running aggressively towards their mansion. But not just an ordinary being however, a savage. "Akash! Get inside right now! Grab the Sphere and get inside! Form a defensive barrier around the house and initiate lockdown!" Akash followed instructions without hesitating for even a moment. With a single swipe, he picked up his backpack and the Sphere. The Doctor followed, urging for the boy to keep moving.

"Ok! I am constructing an energy barrier around the house right now!" yelled Akash as he shut his eyes closed, imagining a glowing shield around the mighty mansion.

"Remember your training!" yelled the Doctor. "Focus and concentrate on what you want to create." The savage drew closer as a radiating shield began forming a dome like structure around the house. Their once mighty mansion now looked like a snow globe. All doors began closing slowly but the windows remained open.

"Keep at it Akash, hold him off for a bit longer!" grumbled the Doctor as he nervously peered at the savage, now at a halt observing the barrier.

"Please!" yelled the savage in an agonizing voice. "Please help me!" The savage was now beating the energy shield even though his hands were bleeding from the reflective damage.

"Don't listen to him Akash, focus on the barrier." whispered the Doctor.

"B-but Doctor! What if he needs help! I don't think he is a savage." replied Akash in a sad tone looking at the savage in pity.

"You don't know anything about these savages boy! You know absolutely nothing! These are their plans. If we let them in, they WILL kill us. They just want our Sphere. Keep it close to you!" The Doctor was very serious now, glaring at the outsider. The savage got out an axe and began hacking at the shield to know avail. "Trust me," said the Doctor. "I know." The Doctor lowered his gaze. He had seen a lot during his life, including some of his friends turning to the savage methods of life. He knew the horror that had engulfed these people. There was no turning back for them. "We need to move," said the Doctor snapping out of his trance. Akash, float the house. This code was enough for the boy. The house slowly began levitating above the ground as The Doctor kept strong vision on the savage who was clearly getting tired chasing the house. "Electromagnetic levitation is still a new concept to you but try to keep it as steady as possible." said the Doctor as the house tilted from side to side.

After many turns and random maneuvers, the Doctor told Akash to halt at a position. It was an open field so no savage could sneak up on the duo, something which the Doctor learnt throughout his experience. Akash put the Sphere down and walked towards the old man. Sadness clogged the atmosphere. "Doctor? Are you alright?" The old man gave a quiet sigh.

"I am tired, to be honest. Tired of this life. All we do is run away from these savages. Find a reason to live. We are no different than them, you know? We are just more civilized." Akash refused to believe this statement but deep down, even he knew this was true. "We need a way to escape this reality." said the Doctor.

"If only we could go back in time..." said Akash staring into the distance imagining the possibilities. "Maybe, maybe my parents..." A small tear crept down his eye.

The Doctor saw his sadness and sought a way to change the subject. "Get some sleep boy. We leave at the first sight of light. Where this is one savage, there are many savages. Enter hideout mode." Akash wiped the tear and grabbed the Sphere. Within a second, the once massive house towering over the plants and cacti vanished in an instant from the outside but was still the same from the inside. The Doctor and the boy headed towards their rooms to retire for the night as the Moon crept across the night sky. As the Doctor headed towards his room, he quietly mumbled, "Time travel..."

A slight tap leading to a vigorous shake awoke Akash as the Doctor receded from his bed. "The Sun's out Akash, we have to get moving. Our trail will never be safe." Akash rubbed his eyes in annoyance and slowly got out of his bed. "Here, take a pill," grumbled the Doctor who was clearly not happy with the apathy shown by Akash. This pill was engineered by the Doctor himself who found a way to simplify a human's needs down into one pill. He was a man way ahead of his time. Akash gulped down the pill in a single swallow and instantly felt full. "Come on now, we need to move. Our next stop is The National Trade Centre. Obviously it has been abandoned for a long time now but hopefully, they still have a few Sphere's left. I may need some for a thing I am working on."

"What? What are you working on now?" asked Akash who was clearly curious. "Last time you said that you made these disgusting pills so we wouldn't have to eat. The time before that you made those useless energy swords that we threw away." Evidently, Akash had experience with the Doctor's inventions.

"This is different Akash, I was sure the other inventions were going to work. I just am not sure about this one."

"Whatever," grumbled Akash, still angry from being awoken this early. "Do what ever you want." Akash grabbed the Sphere and headed out followed by the Doctor. As the house disappeared behind them, the two began their journey towards the buildings in search of the National Trade Centre.
