The Enchanted Island

The day it began, a man with a black hat is walking in the same direction as the crowd around him. His coat, long, light brown as the colour of his skin, is flowing around.

His name, Jeremy. He is in a rush, trying to reach his work on time. Jeremy is going on a mission, a mission that if he doesn't believe, he won't get what he came for. The mission was secret, and no one knew what it was about, except two women and him.

After Jeremy arrived at his destination, he took a coffee and sat at a cafe, pretending to be reading a newspaper. What was he really doing? He was spying on the two women that knew about the myth. The one is, in old age, with a white lace dropping off her head. Her appearance is weak, wearing a long dusty dress touching the ground with an aged, rusty, light pink scarf around her neck. Her name is Agatha. Agatha is an old-school witch, with no powers, rare of her genius, trying to fulfil her destiny as long as she lives. Her future is to protect two things, the suitcase and the story behind it.

The suitcase was known as a myth to most people. A tale is saying if you have that suitcase, you can be whoever and have whatever you want. Yet, to believers like Agatha, that suitcase is a legend.

The other woman, next to Agatha, is younger, with big blue eyes. Those magical eyes belong to Cordelia. A younger trainee witch is trying to learn the old tricks from her grandma.

Jeremy is trying to hear what the two ladies say from across the table with patient and detective skills.

Agatha tried explaining to her granddaughter the importance of the suitcase and the necessity to stay a secret:

"My dear child, you have to understand that this case is the only thing that is keeping me alive, and if something happens to me, you are going to be in charge of it. "

"ahh", Cordelia squawk." I don't understand why I have to be involved in this."

"Cordelia, you have to put in your little head that bad guys are after me, trying to steal the suitcase. My purpose is not a game !"Grandma pointed at Cordelia.

After that little argument that Cordelia had with her guardian, she starts listening to her grandma, trying to understand the importance of the case.

Agatha started to tell the story about the suitcase:

"Once Upon a Time, my mother, Ophelia, was 14 years old. She was walking in the woods trying to find flowers composing a lovely bouquet for her mother when one man came up in front of her out of nowhere.

That man gave her the suitcase and whispered to her:-I can't tell you much, but after you read the note on the briefcase, BURN IT and don't tell anyone about it until the right moment-. Before my mother realised what happened, the man disappeared... "

"Wait '', Cordelia interrupted. "Who was that man, and what was the note saying? Why did the man give the suitcase to great-grandma?

" Wow, look who is paying attention after all!" "The story will answer your questions. Patience, my dear.",

Agatha whispered to Cordelia.

"Ophelia read the note:

Ophelia, from now on, you are in charge of this bag,

your destiny is to protect the suitcase and

deliver it to the person who is destined to open it

and find the place. The suitcase inside has money

and a black notebook connected to them.

Each amount of money that the unusual

person burns or tears apart, a text or an image

appears in the notebook leading to an island with

magical waters. You don't know the person that is

destined to do that, but you are going to find out.

Be careful not to fall into the wrong hands,

it can be hazardous for our world.

"Grandma, why do you have the suitcase if it was your mother's destiny?"Cordelia asks.

"Unfortunately, my love, the bad guys injured my mother, and before she died, she passed me the bag and told me the story. After her death, her destiny became mine because no one escapes their destiny."

Jeremy was trying to hear everything Agatha and Cordelia said, but he didn't catch up on important information.

After Agatha left for a moment, Jeremy grasped the chance to take the suitcase.

He then started running towards his car. On his way to the office, it was extraordinarily tempting to open the bag. He couldn't restrain himself, so he did it. When he saw the money, his eyes went wide and stopped the car immediately. Without hesitation, he took half of the money and hid it in his pockets.

After arriving at his job, he passed the suitcase to his superiors, David and Derek, the dynamic duo! David and Derek were trying for a long time to have in their possession that suitcase. Hundreds of detectives had been in charge of this case, but none of them actually made it. When the dynamic Ds saw the briefcase, they got thrilled. They started jumping around the office, shouting, "We did it. We did it. We finally can have what we are searching all these years!!"

Jeremy looked at them with a peering and quizzical face, trying to understand why they wanted the case so badly.

When the successful detective tried to ask about the suitcase, they argued with him and threatened him that they would fire him if he wondered about the briefcase again.

Meanwhile, when Agatha saw the guy taking the bag at the cafe, she commanded Cordelia to go after him. Suddenly, she saw a card laying on the ground. She picks it up, and the label was saying:

Take the suitcase and bring it to us. IMMEDIATELY!!

When the old lady saw the company's name she freaked out, she realised that the bad guys made it. They took the bag. She failed her destiny.

The next day, after a lot of thinking, Jeremy decided to discover what is all about that suitcase. Of course, without David and Derek knowing.

After a lot of research and a couple of sleepless nights, he learned about Ophelia and her daughter, Agatha. He never thought that a story from his childhood was authentic and that the older woman he was spying on was a sorceress. A powerless one, but it didn't matter.

Learning the truth made Jeremy the enemy of the dynamic duo without them realising it. He tried a couple of times to get the bag back, but his efforts were worthless. David had hidden the suitcase very well.

When Jeremy came to a standstill, he searched for help from Agatha. It was quite challenging for him to find her, but when he finally did it, Agatha's response wasn't so polite.

"YOU!!! You are the man who stole the suitcase."Agatha yelled!

"Yes, I am and sorry about that. My supervisors told me to take it, and without knowing what is all about, I did. But something strange was about that bag, and the myth doesn't say plenty. Can you tell me what the note was saying in your mothers' story?" Jeremy wondered.

"Why help you after what you did? And who are you?"

"oh, I forgot, my name is Jeremy, I am a detective, and after I saw what the suitcase had inside, I started searching about it."

Agatha was watching intently at the man open-mouthed. She couldn't process the fact that Jeremy was the man."You opened the suitcase?" She asked, all wonder.

"Yes, I did, and ..." Jeremy whispered, "it has a lot of money in there, like 20 000$" "It also had a little black notebook, it looks like a journal, but it was empty."

Agatha, without hesitation, hugged the man and told him," You have to get the bag back immediately. Now that you unlocked it, and it's in our enemy hands, it's dangerous."

"What do you mean unlocked it?"

"You are the man I am destined to deliver the bag to, you are the only one who can open it, and you did."

On their way to the investigation, they saw a trapped man in a flaming car, and Jeremy tried to save him. Unfortunately, Jeremy's pants got on fire, and all the money in his pockets was gone.

When Jeremy told Agatha about the money, she got distraught and informed Jeremy what just happened.

"Jeremy, the story states that if you burn or destroy the money. Images and clues are unveiling in the empty little book. So now the enemy has enough hints to discover the magic place."

Without any delay, they started looking for David and Derek. They didn't know where to spot them, but with Jeremy's friends' cooperation, they detected them entering the Unknown forest half an hour ago.

The Unknown forest takes its name after the lack of presence.

Jeremy and Agatha went into the deep woods following their trace.

After tracking them, they attempted to attack them and take the notebook, but they failed.

For their own luck during their fight, Ds drop some money, and without scepticism, Jeremy takes and stores them, waiting for the right moment to use them.

Actually, Jeremy didn't want to burn or destroy the money. He was looking for the total package. Finding the magic place and keeping the money.

Derek and David, after the conflict with their old employee, started moving faster towards the unknown. They didn't know what they were looking for, only wanted the gift. The D duo searched the book, but the clues came to an end. They wanted more details to continue their journey.

Jeremy, with a heavy heart, tears apart more money, as Agatha ordered. That way, they can attack the enemy easier and be closer to the island at the same time.

Few missed attempts later, Agatha called for help from their coven living in the woods. Coven is a lot of witches together, including Agatha.

Help came immediately and started casting a spell on the two men.

"To the one who gets the string

To the one running in our leaves

Trap him and feed him on the name of the witch

troubles yet to come, nature and beliefs."

Therefore, with some witches' help, the notebook, including the money, was in the right hands.

Before destroying the last $1000 left, the young man saw in distant water leading to an abandoned island.

With radiant eyes, he took Agatha and rushed towards the sea and swam until feeling his foot on the island.

The island wasn't big, having only one cave in the centre of it.

With wary eyes, both Agatha and Jeremy entered the cave. They felt blessed after seeing the magic waters. However, a man living in the lake rise in front of them.

"Who are you, and what do you want in my lake?" The spirit of the lake command.

Agatha replied, "My name is Agatha. My mother was Ophelia, and this man is destined to reach your blessed waters."

"My name is Jer.."The spirit interrupts Jeremy, gazing at Agatha.

"Your mother was Ophelia?"The spirit questioned.

"How do you know my mother?" .Agatha, with wild-eyed eyes, wondered, "You are the man who gave my mothers the suitcase. Aren't you?"

"Indeed", The spirit agreed.

After Jeremy absorbed the charm waters, he made his wish.

What he asked wasn't money or fame, neither love nor expensive cars.

He asked for protection of the island and that only the true believers would discover it.

For him was a blessing knowing he was the special one. So he came to a decision. He made his last wish.

"I wish to be one with my destiny."

What followed shock Agatha and the spirit.

Jeremy became the enchanted lake's new spirit and protected it with his life as long as he lived.
