WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST TWO EPISODES OF OBI-WAN KENOBI

Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new show about the famous Jedi master, has been on Disney+ for a week. Those who were lucky enough at Star Wars Celebration got the experience of a lifetime to be able to watch the first two episodes with the cast themselves. For the rest of us at home, they decided to release the first two episodes early. I watched and loved both episodes, and according to Twitter, I was not the only one.

The recap at the beginning of the first episode was incredible. It showed some of Obi-Wan and Anakin's best and worst moments. It brought everyone up to speed on where we are in the series whether we are die-hard fans or casual viewers of the prequel trilogy.

As we fans all know, Anakin did not die at the end of Revenge of the Sith. However, Obi-Wan did not. The poor guy thought Anakin was dead all those years when in reality he survived as Darth Vader. For some reason, it still shocked us when we heard "Anakin Skywalker is alive."

Someone also pointed out how Obi-Wan buried his and Anakin's lightsabers together because he did not have Anakin's body to bury.

Many have also noticed how little Leia's outfits are very similar to Leia's outfits in the original trilogy. Her outfit in the second episode is very similar to the one Leia wore on Endor in Return of the Jedi

The first two episodes also gave us many throwbacks to both live-action movies and animated series. Even though Padme died at the end of Revenge of the Sith, she lived on in Luke and Leia. Obi-Wan compared Leia to Padme in the second episode. The homeless clone veteran, played by the lovely Temeura Morrison, showed how the clone troopers were used, then discarded when they were no longer needed. The Inquisitors, who first appeared in Rebels, returned as the main antagonists of the series. And at the end of episode 2, when Obi-Wan found out Anakin was alive, they began to sense each other. Pain.

Of course, there are always going to be jokes. This person had the perfect joke about Geode from the High Republic era.

There were also parallels to the relationship between Rey and Leia. Not knowing who her family is, Rey gets "adopted" by Leia, who trained her in the way of the Force and welcomed her into the Resistance.

We also saw Leia (who was adopted by Senator Bail Organa and his wife Breha) questioning her identity when she told Bail that she was not a real Organa. However, Bail told her otherwise. This makes the moment between Rey and Leia in The Rise of Skywalker more meaningful as it shows how similar Rey and Leia actually are.

I'm pretty sure this was all of us at the end of episode 2 when the camera cut from Obi-Wan to Vader.

Then, there was a whole other reaction when we actually saw Anakin in the bacta tank.

These are just the reactions from the first two episodes. I can't imagine how the reactions to the next episodes will go. I love Obi-Wan Kenobi so far, and as a huge prequels fan, it is perfect for me. I cannot wait to see where the series takes us.
