Taureans, take a bow, you've earned it

The Zodiac's hardest workers need a pat on the back

You just knocked over the cup on your desk with all the pencils in it, haven't you? This happened shortly after you spilled your caramel latte all over your laptop keyboard.

And then you slammed your knee into the desk leg when you twisted to pick the same pencils up off the floor.

Why are you so clumsy? Dancing has never been your strong suit and flitting lightly across the floor without waking them up, well that's never going to happen.

You blunder in and plonk your stuff down on your desk and everyone looks around. You're noisy and huffing and puffing after your commute.

But you won't be told that you're ungainly because coupled with your overt clumsiness is your legendary stubbornness.

You're a bull, a big, solid character who only moves when you want to. Taurus, lover of quality over quantity, whether it's food, wine, art or accessories.

Why buy 20 ordinary when you can save up for and then savor, luxuriate in the finest?

You're a whizz in the kitchen, a gourmand who not only cooks better than any other sign but appreciates food at the best restaurants.

But you've got to be careful with those carbs. While Taurean women can be some of the most beautiful in the Zodiac, there's that preponderance for gaining weight.

Being an Earth sign, you love getting your hands dirty -- literally. Farms and farming fascinate you even if you're a city slicker. Growing the best and healthiest fruit and vegetables is your forte.

Even in the tiniest, inner-city apartment, Taureans will find a way to grow plants, a thatch of chartreuse wheat grass or a few choice herbs to flavor your latest recipes.

You're down-to-earth, practical and plodding and there's no greater friend. Loyal, kind, caring and ready with a fresh batch of homemade brownies or minestrone soup sourced from the best organic vegetables in a crisis. Your broad shoulders are perfect for crying onto.

Just don't get them angry. Like a raging bull, Taureans are slow to lose their tempers but when they do, watch out!

Deception and infidelity are the main triggers, red rags if you will. Taureans can't stand two-facedness because it's an absolute anathema to their steadfastness.

You've no doubt heard of the bull of the china shop, well there's nothing left standing when a Taurean lets loose.

Forget the baby, they throw everything out with the bathwater, even you. Nothing's left standing. So you pretty quickly learn not to poke the bear...oops I mean bull...ever again.

If you have managed to rile them up, my advice is to try green...this color calms them down and reminds them of the land and Nature which is where their hearts feel most at peace.

Taureans love wearing green as well as decorating their surrounds in shades of the palest mint right through to the deepest olive.

But meltdowns are few and far between luckily for the rest of us. Soothing, stoic and calm most of the time, Taureans are some of the hardest workers in the zodiac. Their motto is definitely if you want the job done properly, do it yourself.

Like the bull, they're easy to spot with those strong shoulders unafraid of the heavy yoke life can bring.

They reward themselves with sensuality, flooding their five senses with the best money can buy ... expensive scents, delectable food, classical music to name but a few.

Sometimes they can be indolent, lethargic, lazy even when over-relaxed, like a sleepy bull blinking in the morning sunshine and chewing its cud in the middle of an emerald field.

But procrastinators they are not. Pretty soon, it's back to work as those quiet achievers who literally tackle the jobs no-one else wants to do, the unglamorous, behind-the-scenes tasks.

Look up the word "multitask" in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of a Taurean.

But with that said, they don't expect recognition unlike those showy Fire signs like Aries and Leo or the skulking manipulators Scorpio or Capricorn.

Taureans' reward is knowing that the job has been done thoroughly and correctly.

Despite the china shop analogy, they don't like a mess and can be perfectionists with a flair for neatness ... not on the Virgo scale of course ... but organized and tidy none the least. At work that is, at home not so much. Housework bores them to tears.

So my forecast for Taurus is not to be afraid to step into the spotlight. You deserve it. Don't be embarrassed to soak up some credit where credit is due. You've worked so hard these last years and there's no need to keep hiding your light under a bushel.
