Excitement is building for The Last Jedi, a movie that promises to challenge our every preconception about the Force. The first trailer was deep and philosophical, offering tantalizing hints that Luke Skywalker himself has strayed from the Jedi path. The second was far more action-packed, and yet still offered intriguing clues that our old Light/Dark dichotomy was about to come crashing down.

Rogue One proved that a Star Wars anthology film can be a blockbuster success, and it didn't take long for Lucasfilm to green-light another. The Han Solo spinoff hit a bumpy road earlier this year with a director change when Lucasfilm hired Ron Howard to finish the film. He's since launched a tremendous social media campaign, dropping countless tantalizing hints for fans, and winning us over to this troubled movie.
Back in June, Phil Lord and Chris Miller left Lucasfilm's Han Solo spinoff under something of a cloud. It didn't take long for Lucasfilm to announce a replacement though, with legendary director Ron Howard stepping in to finish the film.
The Force Awakens reintroduced us to a galaxy at war, one where a neo-Imperial group were led by the mysterious figure of Supreme Leader Snoke. Fans have been fascinated by the character, desperately trying to piece together his backstory. The main problem though is that Lucasfilm didn't have it worked out back when they first launched the Sequel Trilogy.
Set for release on May 25th, 2018, the as-yet-untitled Han Solo spinoff promises to finally give us the secret history of the galaxy's favorite smuggler. The plot itself remains something of a mystery, but that doesn't mean we haven't got some early hints that will help give us a better idea of what to expect. As details emerge, questions we hope will get answered include things like: How did Han's smuggler career kick off? How will he cross paths with Lando, and did he cheat in that Sabacc game to acquire the Millennium Falcon? Finally, what new worlds will the film visit?
Supreme Leader Snoke is one of the most intriguing and enigmatic characters in the new Star Wars trilogy. We were introduced to his holographic presence in The Force Awakens, and he's currently something of a riddle wrapped in a mystery. Just what is this powerful being of the dark side? One thing's for sure; as writer and director of The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson must have done an incredible job. Lucasfilm is giving him the keys to the kingdom, asking him to write and direct a whole new Star Wars trilogy. We don't yet know much about this project, but Lucasfilm has confirmed that it won't continue the Skywalker Saga. Intriguingly, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has referred to this trilogy as a "blank canvas." That suggests it's set in a time we've never explored before, and deals with all-new characters.
Kieron Gillen has taken over writing duties on Marvel's flagship Star Wars comic, and with his first issue, he's launched an intriguing tale that sees our heroes return to the ruined moon of Jedha. In the aftermath of A New Hope, the Rebel Alliance is attempting to unify the different rebel groups across the galaxy. That means they're hoping the last remnants of Saw Gerrara's Partisans will rally to the cause.
Announced in April this year, Star Wars: Battlefront II is a game that's got every Star Wars fan talking. Perhaps one of the most intriguing elements this time round is the single-player campaign mode, which is actually recognised as a fully canon component of the ongoing Star Wars story. Even more excitingly, we've been told the game will run all the way from the close of Return of the Jedi to the very beginning of The Last Jedi.
