Exciting Production Update For 'Star Wars: The Acolyte' Series Revealed
Many people are excited for the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series, and The Acolyte is no different. This will be an exciting turn for the Star Wars franchise. The prequel series focused on Anakin Skywalker and mainly highlighted his time while a Jedi and not a Sith. The Acolyte could give us the chance to see a novice Sith in training. It will also be a “female-centric” series, which will also be a pivot from other previous Star Wars series, though Ahsoka looks to be coming out first. Either way, The Acolyte looks to be breaking new ground in the Star Wars universe. For the first time, a live-action show in the Star Wars universe will led by a woman, both onscreen and behind the scenes, as Leslye Headland has been tasked with leading the upcoming series.

How Palpatine Was Betrayed By His Most Trusted Ally In 'Star Wars'
Sheev Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious, aka "The Senate," is depicted as a very sneaky villain throughout the Star Wars saga. He is able to manipulate the galaxy through political maneuvers, to the point where he makes some people complacent with the idea of an Empire rising and the Jedi being gone. He accomplishes this with many chess pieces on his board. Some people he straight up uses, but some people he has as allies. However, even his closest allies may not be completely trustworthy.

The Reason General Grievous And Anakin Skywalker Never Met During 'The Clone Wars' Series
It is crazy to think that Anakin Skywalker and General Grievous never met during The Clone Wars. Not even once. Despite the fact that Anakin was a Jedi General for the Republic, and General Grievous was, well, a general of the Separatists. From a storytelling standpoint, Anakin is one of the central protagonists, and General Grievous is one of the main antagonists. They also fought a war against each other for three years! I suppose it is a big galaxy, but you would think they would have done battle at least once in their three-year military career. However, there is actually a reason why those two enemies never met each other.

Legends Characters We Need To See In Canon
Following Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars, the story group decided to rebrand the vast majority of the Star Wars Expanded Universe as Legends, thus rendering it non-canon going forward. This decision was met with a sizeable amount of criticism and dissatisfaction from the fan base and understandably so. But as the new canon grows, more and more of these fan favorites are returning in new stories. Sometimes they are identical to their Legends counterparts or they serve as inspiration for new characters. With that in mind, here are five unique characters from Legends that would make great additions to the canon.

The Bizarre History Behind Cloning In 'Star Wars'
Ever since Luke Skywalker said to Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope, “You fought in the Clone Wars?” people have been curious to know about cloning in Star Wars. Perhaps most fans, and maybe even George Lucas, viewed it as an intriguing throwaway line. But as the prequel trilogy came out, especially Attack of the Clones, the details in regards to cloning in Star Wars were gradually revealed. While starting in the prequel trilogy, cloning has continued to show up in a prominent role in the Star Wars universe in The Clone Wars, the sequel trilogy, The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and various Star Wars Legends stories and associated Star Wars content.

Emilia Clark Speaks About Her Possible Role In Lando Calrissian Disney+ Show
Solo: A Star Wars Story is a film that did not quite succeed at the box office despite getting its good share of fans. Though it was advertised as a standalone, it left some threads dangling. One of these threads pertains to Qi'ra, Han's lover from the Corellian underworld who becomes part of Crimson Dawn and eventually takes Dryden Vos' place. The message from Maul in which he tells her to meet him on Dathomir sparked many imaginations. And now, we are seeing Qi'ra in the War of the Bounty Hunters comic book crossover, in which she has obtained the frozen Han Solo (between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi) and intends to sell him to the highest bidder in order to amass more power for Crimson Dawn.

The 'Star Wars' Shipyard That Built The Republic And Imperial Navy
For many fans of Star Wars, their first exposure to the galaxy far, far away was witnessing Darth Vader's behemoth Star Destroyer capturing Princess Leia aboard Tantive IV. To this day, many fans will fondly remember how blown away they were the first time they saw the sheer scale and intimating presence of the signature Imperial vessel. Armed to the teeth with dozens of turbolaser batteries, ion cannons, and multiple tractor beams, the I-class Destroyer instilled dread in rebel cells and dissenters across the galaxy during the Galactic Civil War. Produced by Kuat Drive Yards for the Imperial Navy, the Empire followed in the Republic's footsteps by having Star Destroyers as the backbone of their fleet. Wherein the Empire employed the modern I-class, the Republic deployed the Venator and Acclimator class ships, both cutting edge for their time. What all these vessels have in common is their production by Kuat Drive Yards at their orbital shipyards encircling the planet Kuat. KDY has a long history of innovation, political significance, and military might.

Darth Vader's Secret Weakness That No One Ever Knew About
Have you ever stopped and wondered what Darth Vader’s weakness is? He was this dark menacing figure that could crush your windpipes at the slightest provocation, and mercilessly strike you down with his scarlet lightsaber. While his grandson Kylo Ren’s angry tantrums were more amusing than fearsome, it was his quiet seething anger that sent chills down your spine. Most would guess that one could defeat him only by overwhelming him with brute strength. Perhaps a quick tap into the Dark Side of the Force could accomplish that (as Luke almost did in Return of the Jedi). However, Marvel’s latest issue of Darth Vader, which came out recently on June 23, revealed a more subtle weakness.

The Dark History of the Most Horrifying Star Wars Villain
For over four decades, the Star Wars universe has continued to grow exponentially, with no signs of slowing down any time soon. Following the release of Return of the Jedi, which ended the original trilogy, and the series as we know it (at the time), many authors and creators have written literally thousands of new adventures involving the main heroes introduced in the films. The story then continues in the prequel trilogy and shows such as The Clone Wars, Rebels, and others. We now have a whole host of characters existing within the entire universe, some of them incredibly powerful, and incredibly dark. Sadly, following the release of Disney's sequel trilogy, a lot of these characters are no longer considered canon, and have instead been relegated to what we now refer to as Legends. One such character technically exists within both Legends and canon. Her name is Abeloth.

10 Best Onscreen Lightsaber Battles in Star Wars
Star Wars is series about family, redemption, good vs. evil, and political intrigue. These topics and themes help make it one of the most memorable series out there, but the epic lightsaber duels make it all the more amazing. There have been some pretty amazing lightsaber fights through the years. Some have been better than others, but all of them are legendary for one reason or another. These are my personal favorite onscreen duels. I do want to note that I am only counting the encounters we see in the main live-action films. As much as I love the battles in Gendy Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars series and in Luke’s scene in The Mandalorian, they will not be included in this list as the lightsaber scenes in the animated series, games, and shows could all have lists of their own.
