science fiction
The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.
Ad Astra Per Aspera 6
I slowly look around the bright green and red room as my vision slowly starts returning to normal. I knew immediately I wasn’t on the SUNRISE. Another dream, I guess. I sit up and take in my surroundings. I was in a chamber of sorts. The room was filled with shades of flickering red and green. I recall the events up to where I remember and came to one of two conclusions. Conclusion 1: I was knocked unconscious and was currently in the SUNRISE’s medical bay. Or Conclusion 2: I really died this time.

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. But despite thankfully never being caught out by a faulty airlock, I have to respectfully disagree.
When Time Runs Out CH2
So, tell me: Why is it when you are put into a worst-case scenario, rock bottom is still two or three feet below that. Yet still, manages to come and bite you. Being face to face with this creature, gave me enough to question if the bottom had been hit yet.

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say, but as the mocha pattern of gas and stars swirled against the inky, icky dark above, you could hear them scream as my machete cut into necks. My arm was burdened from fatigue, and it took me two strikes to sever a head from the body. The backward swing caught and sprayed blood while the blunt thud splayed it down the front and back. The swinging and chopping had made a Rorschach pattern of blood and entrails against white robes and hoods. It was the only way and necessary. I had to go through them to get to Her, but I didn’t mind . . . not at all.

Why is Elon Musk so special? Is it because he recently became the richest man in the world? Probably. Is it because he always interacts with his fanbase?

Silent screams
"Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say." "That's because 'they' are all idiots," Jack replied to Maddison as he slowly drifted his way over to her. "Of course you can't hear a scream in a vacuum, sound doesn't carry in a vacuum. I reckon the saying should have been "No one can hear you scream if they don't have their comms open."

Scream Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. The door slammed shut preventing the ball of fire, and ice from exploding in infinite directions. Staring ahead, eyes bulging for the camera wasn’t at the best angle of a yet, epithetic beginning. Lungs emptied, eyes bulging hardly the best take in the movie: if it were that? It was not. I guess I had left the safety of the container of the opening chamber to descend to the surface of this planet.

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. That is no longer true. This theory, that was once spouted as fact, had been disproved millenniums ago. As technology advanced it was discovered that though dark matter was not visible to human eyes it did interact more easily with sound. This discovery led to the creation of instruments capable of detecting sound transferred through dark matter. Now that that bit of scientific fluff is out of the way. Let’s discuss why we are talking about hearing screams in space.

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. The vast emptiness can be terrifying to the unprepared, and yet, it can still grip the most experienced with ice-cold hands. Many a being has been lost to it, never to be heard of again. Be that as it may, it is alluring new adventurers to its mystery every day. Teria had been one of those many adventurers. Every night she would stare up at the stars as if something was calling her to them.

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Unless of course you have been live streaming your entire experience via satellites back to Earth, so people can laugh at you when you accidentally drop a cup of hot coffee in your lap. We are supposed to have gravity locks in place but every once in awhile there’s a glitch and either your food ends up floating off the table, or you end up in the air. When the gravity lock regains power, you or the food, fall. Makes for great entertainment back on Earth. I’m sure the stadium of people watching the Jumbotron during half time enjoyed that scream.

First Mate's Log, Day 384, ship time 23:14 "Nobody can hear you scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. That was the tag line to a movie, I think… Alien maybe? Some poor people become sacrificial pawns in some corporate attempt to gain a killing machine. I'm pretty sure it's Alien, or Aliens. Something like that. It’s strange what you think of when your life is ending, or at least that's what I think is happening. Who knows at this point? But I’m getting ahead of myself; you have no idea what the hell I’m talking about or even who the hell I am. How rude. I'm the first mate of The Odyssey, the shiny new research vessel in whose sick bay I currently lie. I'm in a very uncomfortable white bed, and the sick bay is an uncomfortable metallic color with the most uncomfortable fluorescent light…ech. Great, my head is starting to hurt from the light, or maybe I’m concussed. Or maybe one of my crewmates gave me some medicine. Is that smoke? No, it's the medicinal alcohol, so overwhelming. FOCUS!"
