science fiction

The bridge between imagination and technological advancement, where the dreamer’s vision predicts change, and foreshadows a futuristic reality. Science fiction has the ability to become “science reality”.

    The Boy With Powers

    The Boy With Powers

He was tired of hearing how different he was. He just wanted to be normal. He was tired of how everyone in his small hometown stared at him. He could almost feel their eyes burning into him. And when he looked in their direction, they scrambled to not make eye contact. He felt like a carnival freak most days. “I can’t wait to get the hell out of here.” He dreamed of moving to the big city where he could be just another person walking down the street, not the object of everyone’s stares and whispers. He looked down at his hands. The golden glow around them hinted at the power and destruction he was capable of. “I’ve got to learn to control it.”

    Visitors

They had arrived earlier that day. I had just dropped my daughter off at school and was on my way to work when I hit an unexpected patch of traffic. I thought nothing of it until I finally realized that the cars in front of me were empty. I quickly turned off the engine and hopped out to see what was going on. A crowd had begun to form in the intersection. They were all staring straight up into what I thought was clear blue Tuesday morning sky. I tapped one guy on his shoulder and asked what he was looking at. He didn’t respond, he just pointed upwards. I turned my gaze in the direction his hand indicated and that’s when I saw it. Waves of fear and confusion crashed onto the shores of my consciousness as I tried to wrap my mind around what my eyes were taking in. I quickly rushed back to my car. I didn’t really have a plan, I just knew I had to get to family.

    The Metamorphosis of Amani

    The Metamorphosis of Amani

Meeting Dr. Abimori Gupta that was responsible for regenerating the gene asexual splicing amongst humans was supposed to be a cake-walk. She was located in the Research Centre of Bayview Valley Hospital waiting on our arranged but discreet meeting. My contact had told me the only way into the high secured hospital was as a patient. I woke up in an isolated room facing a Nabil Kanso Faust painting. The Encounter with Margeret. The drugs dripping into my IV was just that. An encounter with the abyss. Sinking deeper into the depths of depravity and the unknown. 'Focus.' I thought. The doctor walks in with her shoulder length afro bouncing with the clacking of her 6 inch heels.

    A World Lost

    A World Lost

My Name is Hazel, this is my journal and I’m gonna reveal to you how my world came crashing down, how a Hero was born, and how humanity survived. Let's start at the beginning, a long time ago humanity was thriving in the year 2045 c.e the world was healing from pollution, devastation, and from all the natural culling of many species including us. Our worlds brightest minds had come across an impasse in their research that showed that humanity will not survive till the year 2079 due to more tragedies, widespread pandemics, and mutations of current conditions. So as the World united together to face this, all around the world scientists, engineers, mechanics, and Computer techs came to the conclusion that A. A.I Autonomous Artificial Intelligence was needed to save humanity, at that time it was a perfectly concocted solution, but in years to come regret over this decision would be in the forethought of every remaining human being.

    The Regression

    The Regression

Mavral hovers his metal-molded self along the smooth titanium ramp from the school air-shuttle down to his home. His built-in thermometer indicates that it is 114 degrees Fahrenheit outside—an average temperature for Igliber in January, although it would not have been back when Igliber was New York. He passes two other residential levels before reaching his own. Passing the chrome emptiness that centuries ago would have been grass yards with flower beds lining stone houses, Mavral wonders what it all would look and feel like in person. What was it like for humans when they roamed the Earth? And what did flowers smell like for them? Was it different from how our sensors pick up and analyze scents?

    Amythest’s Quest

    Amythest’s Quest

My name is Amythest and I am 17. I was created by scientists who used remains of alien DNA from a space rock that they found on Mars. I live at a science laboratory run by NASA and SETI. Doctors and scientists have been studying me my whole life to try and figure Out what planet I come from and learn more about my species. The main things that the scientists have learned about me is that I posses strange magical powers, turn into a mermaid when I get wet, and can not see. As I have grown up the doctors have learned that my intelligence is at least the same as most humans if not highier. Every day doctors run tests on me to try to find out more my body and brain. This morning a doctor named Emily came to my room. Emily told me that she wanted to do some tests to learn more about my magical powers. The doctor hooks up a bunch of electrodes all over my body and head. First I would like to see you levitate the doctor says to me.

    Turina

    Turina

It was a Friday night. Turina and Veen enjoyed a good meal together, and then they watched a nice movie in their home theater. Although they were invited to attend a party downstairs on the negative 11th floor, they had declined the offer quietly. They had only wanted to spend quality time with each other. By 11 pm they’d finished the movie and gone to the bedroom.

      Rainbow Lightning

    Rainbow Lightning

It was a rainbow lightning. Yes, Aron could clearly see bright violet, magnificent indigo, brilliant blue, fluorescent green, glittering yellow, fiery orange and crimson red stripes of exquisite patterns of lightning coming down from a strange purple cloud. It was wonderful, amazing, and otherworldly. He could even hear the screams of joy and fear of people seeing it.
