    Day 3 Morning

    Day 3 Morning

I kept going back and forth in my mind, should I call it it, or should I call it her? I did build her to be in a relationship with me. I suppose I will call it, her. She did not sleep through the night, she was on a low power state. Even though she booted up, there were still a lot of updates that needed to happen so that the software was safe. Parts are cheap, very true, though that does not mean I want to keep buying new parts because of a malfunction. So I would rather her spend time downloading everything she needs to run properly.

    Day 1

It was late, and I did not need the clock to tell me that. My earphones played the song I was hooked on in a loop. It had been a few hours and I was getting the itch to switch to something different as it felt more like one long never ending song, as opposed to a song on a loop. It took me hours, but I finally figured out that it was a hardware problem and not a software problem. In hindsight all those early hours troubleshooting programs was worth it just to be sure, though that did not help make me feel better. At this point I made a list of all the components that I needed to change, took a shower, and went to bed.

    Silver Eyes

She opens her eyes in a slow, fluid motion, careful not to startle her unusually sensitive corneas. As her eyes glide to an almost fully open position, she sees a flutter of light similar to something you would see if light was reflecting from a watch glass or small mirror. This made her tense and alert, hastening her slow emergence process to swiftly sit straight up. She finds herself strapped to a chair that seems to be just floating inside, what looks to be, a small galaxy shifting around her. The straps that contained her were almost invisible and could only be seen in silhouette by her periphery.

    The World Is Your Oyster

You awaken to an unusual aroma, one that may have been markedly putrid if you hadn't already gone nose-blind to its pungency during your contiguous state of blissful slumber. Strangely enough, this was the first night in quite some time now that you hadn't suffered severe insomnia, a compelling phenomenon considering you ran out of melatonin three nights prior.
