Second Earth #2

Several months passed since a group of scientists and engineers meet together in a secret undisclosed location in Antarctica presenting the radical idea of a man made planet dubbed "Second Earth". They have been working hard on building the technologies together to make "Second Earth" a reality. There have been a lot of plans presented on how this project can come to life. The idea so far is to find a planet or moon that has the similar size to Earth and terra form it by setting up massive green houses around the planet to produce enough oxygen levels.

Within the 7 months since they started on this massive project, More people was brought in to help speed up the work on creating the machines, ships and other technology needed to function on other worlds. Thousands of people around the world have volunteered to work and start a civilization on the new world that will be created. Today they met to give the update on the project so far....

Head Scientist: "I would like to give the status of Second Earth project as of today. Thanks to the ads that posted in all countries around the world, our workforce has grown into 10 times the people we had 7 months ago when we brainstormed this idea about creating another planet. To tell you the truth, i'm not sure how we were able to increase our manpower by this much but i'm grateful."

Scientist#2: " Have we decided what route we're going about creating the new world?"

Head Scientist:" As of right now we're going to go the terraforming route and we need to find a world that's about the same size as earth since this is our first endeavor"

Dr. Travis:" What is the ETA on all of this? when are we suppose to start looking for suitable planets? and how long do you think it will take to actually terraform the world?"

Head Scientist: "We can scan for worlds now actually. As soon as we find a good candidate we can set up shop there within two month and actually begin the process. The overall completion of the process will take up to 10 years tops"

Scientist#3:" 10 years? I dont know about this..."

Dr. Travis: "I assume the 10 years is referring to the planet being completely inhabitable to us without needing a dome around cities or space suits. we can still live on the planet in domed cities and bases while the planet becoming more inhabitable"

Scientist#3:" Oh ok, that's not too bad then. We can have cities and bases up and running within a year at the most"

Head Scientist:" Yes both of ya'll are correct and i would like to announce that we now have everything we need to go forth with the project at once. The next couple of years are going to be exciting and ground breaking! we're going to make history! That's all i have everyone, we'll get started on this in the morning"

As everyone leave and go to their underground quarters; Travis,Conn and Geminez go outside of the compounds close to the cold surface of Antarctica and discuss about the announcement and what they think of it.

Dr. Geminez:" He has no idea that it was my ad and commercial that got us all the growing workforce and volunteers!"

Dr. Conn:" 10 years?! thats a long time to wait for the world to be completely inhabitable. We got to come up with a way to accelerate this project"

Dr. Travis:" Yeah i think the Head Scientist totally got his idea from the movie Total Recall, because that's how the planet is going to be like for 10 years. we would have to stay either in glass dome cities or underground since the world wont be breathable until then. Hey you see that?

Dr. Geminez:" See what?"

The three scientists say a dark orange comet fall from the sky and actually crashed into one of the snow dunes closed by. They couldn't believe their eyes as they saw a humanoid figure rise up from the debris and levitated in the air and they saw a flash of dark orange light and the figure was gone. unknowing to them the figure teleport right behind them..

Dr. Conn:" DID you all see that?! what was that?"

Dr. Travis:" I dont know what that was. maybe some kind of alien or something?"

Dr. Geminez: "I don't know, i hope this wont impede with our personal plans.."

Glowing orange figure:" No i wont impede with ya'll little pet project."

All three of them turned around and their face froze when they saw the figure face to face...

Glowing orange figure: " i've been watching ya'll for months. ya'll trying to create a new planet similar to earth. What if i told you that i can make that happen in way less time than 10 years. i can show you how to make technology to create your own planet. i can make ya'll looking like geniuses over your peers! what do ya'll say?"
