SCP 001 - The Watcher

The Watcher is to stand and oversee, to not act upon the knowledge of all that exists in every possible reality. But, for you, I will share this knowledge reader, as this will not affect the outcome of your reality SCP - 001- 19325, your inevitable outcome. Do not worry if you do not understand, you will as I go on. Let's start with one of my favorites.

SCP - 001 - 48291 - 055

A foundation exists among you in plain site, yet you deny its truth. They are intelligent for their trickery, I must applaud these thirteen beings. These thirteen are the reason you are still alive and able to read this. In the shadows, they go by the name O5 Command. This foundation exists in your reality, as well as reality 48291, in fact, amazingly, they exist in many. The powers of the O5 command are enough to be present in most realities, however not all. This group of beings always create a foundation to help preserve peace, well most times they do. This foundations name is as constant as their existence, the Secure.Contain.Protect. Foundation, or in short, the SCP Foundation. I have grown very fond of it and will assume it's continuation of name. They reside on a planet they call Earth. It is home to many creatures. Some of these creatures require balance by their hands. The duty the O5 command have given to their foundation of many, is to secure these creatures or objects and beings called anomalies that threaten the existence of their planet or existence at all. They contain these anomalies, or try their best to do so, and protect them from bringing harm into their reality, to the other beings of this planet. Most of them harmful, or not, they tend to vary, they even have a way to classify them, how amusing. Anyways, this story isn't about them, this one is about one of the creatures they have contained. It is what they call SCP - 055, it is one of the few things much alike to myself. A infinite constant, it brings me much joy to know it exists, it makes me feel, so much less lonely.

Deep under Site - 19 behind fortified cemented walls, lies SCP - 055, what they call the Anti - Meme, it's story unknown to them, how it came into their foundations possession, no one knows. All they know, is what they know it is not. They know it is not spherical.

A male in a white lab coat approaches by two containment doors, heavily sealed, unguarded, his young eyes explode full of curiosity." No one ever talks about this one, wonder why.. would anyone mind if I go in and check what it is... never mind .. I shouldn't … I might get killed for it." The young males heart drops as he hearts two other figures walk down the corridor behind him, then he hears

" Hey, James! We were looking for you man", as he heard the familiar voice, James' heart relaxes

" Damn it guys, you scared the shit out of me."

" Our bad man, me and Kito were tired of waiting for you, anyways forget that, what are you still doing down here, we were suppose to be up top immediately after initiating Protocol 17 for SCP - 6284. If we don't get up top who knows what they might do to us, come on man."

" Yea, Yeah, I hear ya Will, just was curious what's behind this containment door"

" Who cares man, that's not our assignment, let's just get up out of here before the guards see we're still down here."

" Alright"

James unwillingly agrees and sighs. They make their way back down the corridor towards the elevators.

" Speaking of it James, I wonder what's behind that door too, ain't no one ever talks about it. You know anything about that Kito?"

" No, but I have seen many assigned to that SCP, come out and never remember anything about it "

" Man, I'm glad we haven't gotten assigned to that one"

" Hey, just be happy we don't get assigned to something like SCP - 308"

" Oh yeah man, you know I heard they almost found a breakthrough with SCP - 053"

Kito replies, " That creature is infallible, I do not count on them ever finding something to destroy it "

" My man, Kito, you need to work on being a little more positive!"

" I am positive. Positive that SCP - 308 will never be exterminated. I do not believe in positivity, I believe in the reality. "

They reach the elevator and proceed to enter to go up. Increasingly accelerating past every floor of the site until they reach their destination. The elevator slowly comes to a stop, the doors open. While a figure slowly reveals from the thin slice of air.

" Hey, you three were suppose to be done at 2310 hours. What were you still doing down there?" a guard demands to know.

They stood there for a moment in silence. Kito abruptly speaks,

" We stayed to watch and make sure Protocol 17 was in full effect "

The guard takes a moment, whilst Will and Jameson take a gulp in their silence.

" Alright, proceed with your daily, untimeliness might get you a call with the uppers "

The three move out of the elevator, whilst the guard nods to three other guards and two in lab coats. They head into the elevator. They continue to the mess hall.

" Phew, Kito, my man, quick thinking. Administration would have been on our ass. "

" Yeah, thanks Kito, you really saved us. "

" No problem. "

They get stopped on the way to the mess hall, by a man in a suit with four other guards. Just as they felt relief, they fell into anxiousness once again.

" Jameson Smith, Will Lavone, and Kitohara Ochisaki? "

" Yes sir, that's us. "

" You have been assigned to SCP - 055 tomorrow, wanted to let you three know ahead of time. Carry on "

The three move to the side, while man in the suit walks past.

" Holy shit. " Jameson turns to Kito and Will

" You had to go and jinx it Will"

Kito and Jameson both look at Will, unhappily.
