Phoenix Rising

Scorpio

The reaction from people when I say, “Oh, I’m a Scorpio” varies from a step back to “I know that means you’re a freak” and the occasional “A lot of Scorpios are serial killers”. Yes, the majority of serial killers statistically are Scorpios, but it’s our passionate ethics that drive us to the most extreme. We are often misunderstood in the most complex form of the definition. There is a key piece of information that most people are not aware of about Scorpios, and is one of the main reasons for our misconceptions. There are three stages to the Scorpio: The Scorpion, The Eagle, and The Phoenix. Some Scorpios can evolve into all three, be stuck on one level and never evolve, or achieve only two stages. Scorpios can intertwine all stages, or once evolved into the next stage completely phase out the one before. We are all uniquely intense, passionate, mysterious, and freaky. One Scorpio may possess similar traits to another, but the way we utilize them all differ.

My birth date being the 10th of November bestows upon me deep Scorpio traits and intense feelings as falling mid cycle creates a ferocious Scorpio. The earlier and later dates in the cycle will have you possess some traits from the former and latter sign in the sequence. With my Scorpio intensity, comes passion and stubbornness. This stubbornness while in the Scorpion stage can hold onto jealousy, anger, react without thought, and vengeful. But it is the passion that will aid the movement into next stages. Once we recognize these darker emotions and transform them into courage and power, we have evolved into The Eagle. The eagle is free to soar all the skies without worry and judgement. The eagle is aware of dangers and risks, while holding the confidence to defeat them. The Scorpion dealt with more of the physical aspect of life, while The Eagle gains more perception, spirituality, philosophy, and wisdom. The Eagle becomes insightful and acknowledges the world around them. It is the continued struggle of balance between these traits that prevents the evolution into The Phoenix. Does The Eagle choose to influence the self or the whole?

To evolve into the final stage of Scorpio, one must achieve rebirth, renewal, and rejuvenation. This is the level where the chains of attachment have been broken and we have learned the art of letting go. Phoenixes are extreme non judgmental, empaths, who are compassionate and selfless. This is the level where we choose to influence the whole. We understand not everything is about us and we take nothing personal because we comprehend the actions of most stem from inner turmoil. We understand because to enter The Phoenix we must have started from The Scorpion and Scorpios hold onto emotions that we once felt intensely to remind us of once was, whether we liked it or not. Starting from the bottom instills an empathy in you that a Scorpio, at the Phoenix stage, highly dominates.

I love being a Scorpio because my complexity runs deep. It takes a special kind of someone to connect with me and that’s how I know it’s real. I am definitely at the Eagle stage of my Scorpio journey, while possessing high quality Phoenix traits. Occasionally The Scorpion stinger will jab preventing me from fully transforming. I am aware of this setback and stand strong in my decisions because if I very well wanted not to sting, I wouldn’t. I am very in tune with my mind, body, and soul, the problem lies within control and discipline. I know what needs to be done, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I want to do it. This is the overall essence of being a Scorpio. Once this is understood, people won’t run from us anymore.
