It seems that the universe of Star Wars doesn’t rest, and Lucasfilm is working in another area of the galaxy far away, where every fan can be part of the saga in real time and compete each other until one team can rule the galaxy like the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Or, even better: you can save someone from the dark side and the forces of evil, like the young Jedi Luke Skywalker might do.

This past Wednesday, Nintendo, Zynga, and Lucasfilm games announced that they are going to release a new interactive game for Nintendo Switch system in 2021, based in iconic arenas combat from the saga. Star Wars: Hunters will bring new Star Wars characters, and will also include multiplayer battles, so you can put together a team and to represent different parts of the galaxy.

The game will be set after the fall of the Empire and connect in real time with other players in different places with iconic Star Wars arenas. Also, you can play the game with different characters like a bounty hunter, a stormtrooper, a Wookiee warrior, or a hero of the Rebellion. It is an action game that will immerse players in a visually stunning conflict.

Imagine entering the arena and listening to the roaring of the crowd in your ears. This is something that Lucasfilm promises in the new game. Now you can watch the teaser trailer for the game, which includes some of the characters that will appear in the new game:

As you can see, there are some new faces in this spectacular presentation, like the Wookiee warrior or the bounty hunter.

Also, a mysterious red lightsaber fighter.

Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly said the following:

“Star Wars: Hunters draws inspiration from classic Star Wars stories and settings, but with a look and feel that is different from anything we have done before. We’re thrilled to introduce this wildly creative cast of characters to our fans on Nintendo Switch, where they can join with their friends in thrilling battles at home or on the go.”

Remember when the young Anakin Skywalker defeats Sebulba in the Boonta Eve Classic race and helps Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Queen Amidala to get the parts of their Naboo ship in their trip, to save their planet and also help Anakin to obtain his freedom and became a Jedi? Now you can be part of this galaxy far away, team up with your friends and family, and defeat your enemies competitively in the arenas of this universe.

Star Wars: Hunters will bring you some iconic places from the Star Wars franchise and will be available to free download for Nintendo Switch, App Store, or Google Play, later this year, and doesn’t require a Nintendo Switch online membership to download and play. So, you can join to the greatest hunters in the galaxy and reign victorious with your team.

When George Lucas developed this mysterious world of Jedi, Sith, Wookiees, and Ewoks, he might not have imagined just how far this could go. After more than 40 years, this galaxy still creates new and exciting places for all the fans around the world, and still brings emotions for the oldest and the newest fans. Even after all this time, Star Wars never gets old fashioned.

Now be prepare for this new Star Wars game. In the meantime, gather your friends and families for your team and expect the unexpected, as in the movies, comics, or games of the franchise, you never know what could happen in this galaxy far, far away. So get ready, and may the Force be with you!
