With May the 4th just around the corner, Star Wars fans from all over the world are extremely excited for the premier of Disney+’s new Star Wars animated series, The Bad Batch. There is so much mystery surrounding this upcoming series, which is a follow-up to Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Bad Batch animated series will follow Clone Force 99 on adventures after the Clone Wars. Although this new upcoming animated series has brought excitement to fans everywhere, the series might also bring chills to us all, as there are rumors that it might show new moments set during Order 66.

Some of the new rumors regarding Order 66 suggest that one of the members of Clone Force 99 will be joining the Empire and betraying his brothers. In some marketing that has been released for the animated series, fans have notice that Clone Force 99’s sharpshooter Crosshair is missing. Lots of fans have speculated that Crosshair betrays his brothers to join the Empire, and might even be hunting his own brothers, as they would be considered traitors to the Galactic Empire. In one of the new LEGO leaks, it has been revealed that the Crosshair figure will have an Imperial suit, confirming that Crosshair will join the Galactic Empire.

This leak was also supported by a Reddit post by user u/dtinaglia, who revealed the description of Crosshair’s Black Series action figure. The post clearly describes that Crosshair might be an Imperial sharpshooter. While these leaks confirm to us that Crosshair will be betraying his brothers and joining the Empire, the real question is why he did it. Why did Crosshair leave Clone Force 99? And will he possibly be hunting down his fellow brothers? A likely explanation for this is Order 66. The clone troopers each have inhibitor chips that make them follow the command to kill the Jedi without question. It is possible that the rest of the squad find a way to resist it while Crosshair succumbs to it.

The Bad Batch animated series will show us a darker side of Star Wars that is not seen very often. This series might give us scenes and moments from Order 66 that will change Star Wars history, and will probably give us more details on how horrible Order 66 really was. The first time we saw Order 66 in Episode III, viewers were crushed to see all the Jedi being killed by their own forces. When we saw the amazing bond clones had with their Jedi commanders, Order 66 hit us even harder. Lots of things can happen in this new series. We can see how several rogue clones act during Order 66, and what happens to them. Although we know only a bit about this upcoming animated series, we can be sure that it will reveal new and amazing things within the Star Wars universe.

Lots of fans also believe that in The Bad Batch animated series, we may get to see Grogu’s rescue from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. If Clone Force 99 are the ones responsible for saving Grogu, it would give an even bigger purpose to the series itself, and to the amazing Bad Batch force.

Although this questions may not be answered until the series premieres on May 4, 2021, this information lets fans know that there are many exciting things are coming to the Star Wars universe, and we will see some extremely thrilling adventures. May the fourth is always a great celebration for Star Wars fans. Perhaps we can expect lots of reveals on that day. It is extremely exciting that we are getting a new Star Wars series. Maybe we can get new trailers, sneak peeks, and more exciting new content pertaining to the future of Star Wars.
