My Sun & Moon

I am a Taurus, a stubborn, possessive, uncompromising bull & in truth I do agree with most of my zodiac. There are so many aspects to a person that you can't simply say everyone born between this time is going to be like “this” but when you learn more about zodiacs and dive into the wealth of information and knowledge that is astrology, well, you can find some pretty interesting stuff. I'm going to talk about how I learned about different aspects of my zodiac specifically my Sun & Moon on my birth chart & whether I ended up agreeing or disagreeing with them.

So let's start with the big one, My Sun in Taurus. According to my birth charts, I'm a patient & calm individual, who has a strong appreciation for beautiful and pleasant things. I have profound creativity & a broader understanding of life. I have a perceptiveness and sensitivity for the values of others that gives me insight & a sense of responsibility for other people. That's a broad stroke breakdown of what it said about me, & my girlfriend and I agreed immediately.

I've always been a patient & calm person I've never liked feeling angry or displaying anger because, in my opinion, anger never really achieved anything of substance, All it does is lead to destruction. I do have a strong eye for beauty and pleasant things, from catching a beautiful moment on a walk to being able to tell something would make a cool photo in the right condition. I appreciate the beauty of the world for all its sadness and hurt, it is still a beautiful life to live. The last one is the one that hit me, I used to want to get into psychology because from a young age I always had a knack for, well, knowing people.

It was easy for me to be able to pick up on and read even the slightest details about a person. That combined with my calm and open personality lead to a lot of people coming to me to get things off their chest. Not always looking for advice Sometimes just because I listened and heard them. I wasn't the type to listen just so I could respond. So when my girlfriend and I read that those born with Taurus as their sun were perceptive and sensitive to the values of others, it gave us quite a shock.

The other fun one I learned was my moon. I was born with my sun in Taurus & my moon in Aquarius. My immediate reaction to that news was “I'm not an Aquarius”, a very ignorant take I know, but after learning what exactly it meant and how to understand it, completely changed my perception of it all

My moon in Aquarius meant I had a complicated relationship with my own emotions, actively trying to free myself from all negative feelings, & that I had a strong tendency to distance my instincts from my emotions as far as I possibly could. It also claimed I would make a great impartial observer of life( which of course backed up the fact that I would make a great psychologist) being able to give people useful and impartial advice.

This one was a shocker for me because before this I had no clue there was more to the zodiac besides, I was born in may...I'm a Taurus. Just like my Taurus reading, it had a lot of accuracy regarding me as a person. I never had the greatest relationship with emotions, I mean who does growing up, & actively went out of my way to bury any negative emotion I felt. Always believing “if I just don't feel it, I'll be happy”. Boy was I wrong, learning to be at peace with the fact you feel negative emotions was a huge hurdle for me but doing so changed my life for the better.

Linking back to my old desire of being a psychologist, my moon being in Aquarius seemed to just further strengthen that belief. Knowing you are a great impartial observer and being told you are one by the zodiac are two completely different feelings. I've had countless friends, family, & partners tell me how great of a listener I was or how they just enjoyed having me around because my energy, openness, and non-judgmental mind were comforting to be around. I always took the compliment but never thought much of it outside "wouldn't you all do the same?"

So both my sun & moon were very accurate towards me as a person, without me needing to dig deep and try to draw connections. I even did this with some witnesses so they could be the ones to tell me how accurate my charts were. I did end up going through the whole chart but I believe the moon and sun were the two that drew my attention the most.

I don't know if I would consider astrology a legitimate discipline but there is a sense of wonder when it comes to the zodiac. Someone once told me “ humans are made up majorly of water, the moon affects the tides based on its position, so why wouldn't it affect you” and those are truly some words to live by. We don't understand everything there is to the universe, we don't even understand everything there is to our planet, so who is to say the placement of the stars and the moon don't have an effect on people when they are born, or can help shape pieces of their personality. I learned about my zodiac and realized how much I agreed with it & it was a fun wondrous time. I only hope everyone can enjoy the same kind of moments in their lives.
