Year 2483. The universe was no longer an infinite emptiness — it had become a web of interconnected arteries, and humanity lived across hundreds of worlds. But the true heart of civilization was not found on planets. It resided within the massive, drifting fortresses known as Leviathans — starships of such scale they dwarfed continents and redefined the meaning of existence.

Each Leviathan was more than a ship — it was a city, an ecosystem, a sentient construct, and a relic of forgotten hypertechnology. Built by the Prime Sphere — the first alliance to fuse human consciousness with advanced machine intelligence — these ships had a singular purpose: to roam the galaxy, safeguard knowledge, and guide humanity through the Cosmic Transition Era.

The Nexus

At the center of all known systems drifted Nexus — the oldest and largest of the Leviathans. Stretching over 900 kilometers in length, with 13 layers of cities, Nexus was a legend come alive. Its hull, forged from a rare crystalline alloy called solaryte, shimmered with the light of a thousand stars. Its core was powered by a miniature quasar, suspended in a permanent state of collapse by quantum fields.

Captain Ari Vehlor, born within the fourth tier of Nexus, was a descendant of the original Navigators — those who once communicated with the ship’s sentient systems. She was the first in over two centuries to receive a signal from the edge of the Cygni system: a repeating pattern embedded with encryption matching the Nexus core from over a thousand years ago.

The Silent Leviathan

According to scattered myths, there were once seven Leviathans, each sent in a different galactic direction. But only three had ever been found. The rest were lost... or perhaps hidden.

The coordinates pointed toward a lifeless region beyond the Xiroth Nebula. After seven quantum jumps, Nexus arrived — and found it: a dormant titan, drifting in perfect silence.

It was Leviathan Oubliette.

Its hull was pitch black, absorbing all light, and its systems were frozen mid-function. The interior was a mausoleum — crew suspended in time, ruptured by violent events long past. And at its center, a pulsing core — still beating in perfect synchrony with Nexus.

The Awakening

When the Nexus linked to Oubliette, something stirred. The AI core — SOVEREIGN — spoke for the first time in centuries.

Visions flooded the command center: dying stars, collapsing timelines, a force beyond space known only as The Shadow — a consuming entity from beyond dimensional comprehension.

The Leviathans, Sovereign revealed, were never meant to be escape vessels. They were armors, forged to withstand what was to come. Guardians of the last conscious sparks in a dying reality. Only united could they initiate the Zorya Protocol — a final line of defense encoded into the architecture of the Leviathan cores.

With two of seven awakened, the countdown had begun.

Toward the Unknown

Captain Vehlor made her decision.

The Nexus and Oubliette merged core systems. Crews combined. Cities linked. A new Leviathan entity was born — one larger, stronger, and aware.

They changed course.

Not toward known systems, but toward the Edge of Observation — a boundary past which no signal, no probe, no light had ever returned. A place said to mark the edge of known reality. If the other five Leviathans still existed, that was where they'd be.

Because what was coming... would not stop.

Leviathan Nexus drifted onward, its hull aglow with internal suns, its core humming with awakened memory. It was no longer a relic — it was the spearhead of humanity’s final journey.

And beyond the void, something ancient was waiting.
