With their latest game, Star Wars LEGO is giving back to the fans in a really awesome way. You, as the player, can choose which trilogy you want to play through first. No strings attached. If you grew up with the classics or love the new trilogy, this game may end up being fun for the whole family.

When you begin the game, you can start off with The Phantom Menace, A New Hope, or The Force Awakens - the first episode from each trilogy. Levels for the others can be unlocked as progress is made. This was always the plan so fans could start wherever they felt the best.

"From the offset, we wanted to let players start at the trilogy they connected with the most," Burgon told Gamespot. "Reiterating the fact that the Skywalker saga spans decades and fans of all ages, we knew players would want to jump into the action of their fondest trilogy; Newcomers to the Star Wars galaxy may want to jump straight to Jakku with Rey and BB-8, or our more veteran players may want to start where it all began on the Tantive IV. As freedom was one of our key pillars during development, we knew we had to give fans the option to jump straight into the trilogy they wanted to."

Players will be able to visit their favorite planets, ride in their favorite vehicles, and even wear their favorite custom outfits from some of the most recognizable moments from the series. Some of the known places you can visit are Hoth, and Mustafar, two iconic locations from the prequel and the original trilogies. These locations will feature in the main quest and have their own side missions, such as fighting imperial ships or being a mercenary for hire. Engage in epic space battles or search the planets for bounties. The game will surely keep you guessing for hours on what you should do next.

This game sounds really immersive, right down to the look, feel, and the choice to visit wherever you wish. There are over 400 playable characters and 10 designs for Luke Skywalker alone. So there will be no shortage of tough choices to make. Two known designs for Luke just to showcase the extensive nature of this game: the original farm boy look and the Jedi Master robes from The Last Jedi. Hopefully, other characters will come with their own unique signature looks from throughout the saga because certain characters have unique styles depending on the trilogy they are appearing in.

There is one more mode that fans of the original Star Wars games will love. It is an homage known as Mumble Mode, a throwback only long-term fans will know. It is just another way the game's producers show they have done their homework on what came before. This game accurately represents everything Star Wars has done game-wise until now.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and The Nintendo Switch and PC. So gamers across all platforms will be able to enjoy this one. Star Wars is about family, and families are sure to gather around and fly to their favorite planet to relive their favorite moments from their favorite film. This game is sure to be a hit among Star Wars fans, young and old. No fan will turn up the chance to visit the galaxy far, far away one more time and in LEGO form at that. Check for this game early in April 2022, as the release date is currently set for the 5th.
