Back in the early 1980s, after we relocated to Nigeria from England, my mother joined the nation's biggest daily newspaper, called 'The daily times'. Part of the prerequisites of the job involved bringing the daily papers to the house as well as the household international magazines- Newsweek, Time etc. Reading these journals did in its own way help shape my appetite for knowledge.

One day in 1987, my dear mother brought back a book from work titled: 'you can control your destiny'- a collection of essays about various subjects and the one thing that I had never encountered before then- astrology. As a 9 year old, I knew my siblings and parents birthdays. As such, I sought to know everything about their personality and quirks. This work of literature set me on a path to wanting to know more than your daily horosco pe in newspapers could ever hope to give or provide.

I was born on the 29th of November before 7, in the morning, which means the following as it relates to my planetary position:

  • The Sun in Sagittarius
  • The Moon in cancer
  • Mercury in Sagittarius
  • Venus in Scorpio
  • Mars in Leo
  • Jupiter in Cancer
  • Saturn in Virgo
  • Uranus in Scorpio
  • Neptune in Sagittarius
  • Pluto in Libra

What do these ten listed points mean for a complete 360 astrological analysis on the road to self realization and self fulfillment?

Please find out below.

Sun in Sagittarius

I am strong personality with a very clear sense of self whose innate sense of confidence lends itself to most situations. This means I am very pushy and direct and more often than not, my blunt direct and somewhat tactless style has got me into quite a bit of trouble in the past. Owing to my visceral hatred of restrictions of any kind and a deep love of my personal freedom, I remain a bachelor,in my forties.

Moon in Cancer

This aspect of my configuration has imbued me with a keen intuition, which has been an asset in handling financial matters and allowed me to undertake several projects successfully.

The moon in cancer allows me to delve deeply into complex parts of my nature and also provides me with the mental and psychological resources in order to heal properly.

Mercury in Sagittarius

This is evident in the fact that I am a "top-down" thinker, who is much more concerned about the wider picture first. The general concept is easily understood and no attention is paid to the detailed facts. Consequently, I am prone to making sweeping generalizations and tactless remarks. Sometimes my comments are way out of line.

This has also meant that I have a wide range of interests and knowledge on the subjects of religion, education, politics, travel, philosophy and economics.

My restless mind has pushed me to the pursuit of knowledge, learning several languages and constantly being on the move and implementing a number of business ideas and initiatives.

Venus in Scorpio

I am a man of strong tastes and great secrecy. The creative and artistic side finds great expression due to the presence of venus in scorpion at the time of my birth. One finds himself drawn to lost souls, misfits and flawed personalities. My cheerful disposition is a magnet for people seeking to tap into my energy.

Mars in Leo

This enables me to give the impression of being a winner and a leader, someone who is lionhearted and spurred by praise. Being ignored and belittled, tends to, more often than not, prompts me into the occasional roar. This aspect does push the adventurous side of me to the fore- reminds me of when I undertook a 3 hour walk in the middle of Addis Ababa, saying salaam to everyone, at whom I had a second glance.

Another highlight of this planetary alignment has been my teleological approach to work, relationships and life.

Jupiter in Cancer

This is mostly felt in my care free nature and the kinds of relationships that I have had over the course of my lifetime.

Saturn in Virgo

My hyper sensitive nature, the sometimes overly perfectionist persona, hypochondria, insecurity about my dress sense has its origins in Saturn's presence in virgo in birth chart. It isn't all negative, it must be pointed out, as this alignment has provided the mental strength to over come the difficulties of my early life, when my father passed on, when I was only 13; The drive for self improvement and need to question everything.

Uranus in Scorpio

The energy required as a coordinator in a group and institutions, to turn convention wisdom on its head as it relates to governing corporations, prisons and hospitals is found here.

Neptune in Sagittarius

My spiritual yearnings, compassion and the idealistic approach to money, the fascination for mystical philosophies are found in this planetary position in my star sign. Other aspects include using the gifts of healing, sensitivity to art for humanity.

Pluto in Libra

The presence of the smallest, recently discovered planet in Libra has profound implications in embarking on political campaigns and pushing for reform in society.

Epilogue

When I think of famous Sagittarians such as, Winston Churchill, Woody Allen, Jacques Chirac,Benjamin Disraeli, Emmanuel Macron, Walt Disney and Jamie Foxx, I readily recognize the positive sides and negative sides to their persona-given that we share the same sun sign. Where our paths may diverge may due to the ascendant sign, the moon sign etc. Once looked at in much more forensic detail, it's clear that so many complex forces are at play-shaping our desires, life choices, perspectives.

Once a full portrait has been captured, we know what our pit falls are and we are in a position to realize every ounce of potential that we may have. As Sun Tzu put it in the art of war:

Knowledge of self and knowledge of the enemy; victory is guaranteed, in a hundred battles.
