Is One Piece is going to end soon

Around 24 years ago, an anime named ONE PIECE started. At that time the creator and the author of the manga from where the anime was serialized planned to work on this for around 5 years only. But it has been 24 years since then and it is still running successfully. Within these 24 years, ONE PIECE made many records and sometimes even broke its own record. It even registered itself in the Guinness Book of World Records for becoming the fastest seller of its books after publication. During this time many got connected with its plot, story, animation, music, humor, and quirks of anime. Moreover, it became an inspiration to the younger generation also. For those who are unfamiliar with anime, let me explain it to you. ONE PIECE anime is based on a fictional pirate world where the sea is divided into four parts by a mysterious & dangerous area named as Grand line where various notorious criminals and pirates go on voyage on a quest to find treasure.

Years ago a pirate named Gol D. Roger managed to find the ultimate treasure known as ONE PIECE & was declared as the strongest person in the sea or as King of Pirates. To silence him and his influence among other pirates, he was publicly executed by the world government (the organization that makes laws in this world). But unfortunately, it backfired & his final words opened the door to a new pirate era where everyone aimed to search for the treasure left by Roger. Years passed on and a young boy started his journey on sea in order to fulfill his dream to become the pirate king. That boy is the protagonist of this anime known as Monkey D. Luffy. When he was little he promised his friend Shanks (who later became one of four emperors of the sea) to become the pirate king.

He started his journey to search and recruit new members for his crew which initially had none. Though he had no ship & no navigating skills, he managed to survive and made few friends who later became his crew members. Luffy along with his crew members started his journey to find the ultimate treasure ONE PIECE. The whole series is about the adventures of Luffy and his crew.

Why did it become a huge success?

Many may doubt the reason behind it's success but I'm expressing my personal opinion. I think the first reason is the story plot, till now the story is very interesting & mysterious. Though I agree that starting episodes were excruciating to watch but later on the episodes became addictive because of the mystery surrounding the final treasure. Till now, it is difficult to guess the exact treasure left by Roger and the reason why the World Government is scared to reveal it in front of the whole world.

Secondly, overpowered characters are a great positive point for the story development. There are many characters which are shown to be very powerful in terms of determination & will power which makes the series even more attractive to watch.

Thirdly, I think it might be the choice of music. There are instances where the background music brings tears to the eyes and there are instances where the background music gives power to fight. Even addition of a stupid protagonist added humor to the series which brings delight at unusual times.

Is it true that the series is going to end?

Yes, it is true that this series is going to end and even the creator of the manga made an official statement that the series will come to end within 4 to 5 years. But recently, an internet article showing an interview of its creator in a prominent Japanese newspaper said that the journey of our protagonist might come to an end even sooner. To be frank, I am not surprised at that because if one is regularly following the manga then, one can know that the final battle is at peak. Though it can't be confirmed whether it is the final battle or not but seems like one of the most important battles in the franchise. It is only a matter of time until the Wano arc will come to an end. Of course I want to know how the story progresses afterwards but logically all the main villians will fall in this arc and only the secret of ONE PIECE will be left.

My assumptions about series

Though occasionally I drop my assumptions but that doesn't mean that it is accurate. I think the secret of ONE PIECE will be revealed in the Wano arc or maybe just after it ends. Another situation can be that Straw Hat Pirates will go to Laugh Tale and learn about the secret of ONE PIECE and the void century which Robin has been searching for years. Moreover, the story of Sabo, revolutionary army, Vivi and battle of seven warlords of sea against Navy is unresolved which might be connected to the great battle that had been hinted back during the formation of the Grand Straw Hat fleet where seven subordinates of Luffy will also participate. These all are my personal opinions and have no solid evidence behind this reasoning. So I request readers not to think this is the real plot of the story.
