The headline to this story is from Klaus Schwab, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. He is the mastermind behind the World Economic Forum that organizes the well-known Davos Summit.

The shocking message in the headline is a prediction of this gentleman from 2016 about the world of 2030 and is one of the other predictions from Klaus Schwab. Could it be really true?

The easy answer is, YES.

Unfortunately, this is not a prediction but a likely repetition of the past. Even in the 21st and 20th centuries, our glamorous democracies in developed countries have not served the good but underprivileged people of the world living in suffering countries.

Let`s remember the near history when our values have been tested and broken many times…

  • WW1, which ended the era of empires and marked the rise of nations, was a total shame with a death toll of 40 million and many counties falling apart. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • WW2 was even worse with 75 million people dying, the lives of many innocent people shattered, and the world shockingly witnessed the use and devastating power of nuclear weapons for the first time in history, unless the stories told in Mahabharata are real. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • The 9/11 attacks were brutal. Thousands of innocent people died and terrorists threatened our democracies. People started fearing each other and lost their peace of mind even in the very heart of the land of the brave and the free. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • The forgotten rising democracy of Afghanistan in the mid-20th century was replaced by theocracy and once the land of sages became a territory of terror and fear. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • The sad story of the breakup of Yugoslavia and the brutal war in the very heart of Europe was watched without interruption or intervention by the well-known democratic and developed countries until the US made an attempt to end it — but even this last attempt was late to come. According to the International Center for Transitional Justice, the Yugoslav Wars resulted in the deaths of 140,000 people, while the Humanitarian Law Center estimates at least 130,000 people who died. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • The invasion of Iraq was not based on real evidence. Millions of Turkmen people were displaced from northern Iraq to miscellaneous places around the world. All this suffering was for nothing but to control the lowest-cost fuel in the world. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • The Arab Spring was nothing but to control the undiscovered Eastern Mediterranean petroleum reserves and those running reserves in the Middle East. A few dozen countries suffered the pains of a massive transformation that ended up with the change of regimes and military interventions at various scales, making the lives of innocent people harder and tougher and forcing them to live in worse conditions than before. We could not do anything but watch it.
  • Syria has been demolished by a war where the superpowers of the world faced each other. Besides, terrorist groups competed with each other to dominate specific parts of the country. All this fight for power and reign was for nothing but to control the critical energy routes in the Middle East and to secure the holy land described in the Old Testament.
  • Africa is still being managed as a colony. The conditions are still terrible in many African countries. We all watch millions die in hunger, even when it comes to children. Some global companies were even brought to justice for testing new medicine in Africa — this cruelty is insane.

There are many other examples in the last 150 years which prove that we are not more civilized than our ancestors who lived 3000–4000 years ago.

  • Still, the strongest defines the fate of the weak
  • Still, we fight for money, territory, power, control, and domination
  • Still, we fight against each other and cannot accept our differences
  • Still, we use power and fear to silence those who speak up for themselves and for others
  • Still, we think that muscle power is good enough to control free-thinking
  • Still, we consume the riches of the world for our own community and miss seeing that we are only as strong as the entire world we are living in
  • Still, we do not share what we have with those in need and indirectly support the growing anger and frustration in those who suffer
  • Still, we do not see that our mind is not good enough unless we also use our heart
  • Still, our arrogance makes us think that we are right
  • Still, we consume the limited resources of the world blindly and selfishly without understanding the consequences of our actions on our communities and our only cosmic home, Mother Earth.
  • Still, the strongest writes the history. Alexander the Great used to have historians traveling with him for the same purpose. Imagine how old this art of war is.

Homo-Sapiens, the human who knows that he knows, does not still know himself.

Therefore, until we rise from our ashes and develop the wisdom to establish our inner balance and harmonize with the principles of life and the universe, we will continue to behave still like our Neanthertal ancestors. That will end up testing our so-called values in tough situations that are now becoming a daily reality such as drought, hunger, regional battles and wars, political conflicts, social unrest and riots, migration of big masses due to climate change, and escape from war, economical downturns, and depressions, and more.

Unfortunately, our civilization and communities are not wise enough to handle and manage this level of high volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity — VUCA. We are not wise enough yet as people of the world. But we do possess a greater potential that is still not unveiled.

Yes, Klaus Schwab is right, unfortunately. We are still like naught boys bullying each other for the temporary illusions of the world that will fade away when we all die.

Therefore, it is the time to awaken to your true source, your true identity, your Essence, your true origins. Rise from your ashes from your old level of awareness to your higher consciousness. It can only happen if you start to KNOW THYSELF.
