This year has been difficult for Hollywood productions. Due to COVID-19, productions that had been filming or had been gearing up for filming were shut down back in mid March. All theaters were closed, forcing studios to postpone their highly anticipated blockbusters to later dates, including Marvel’s Black Widow and DC’s Wonder Woman 1984. Even Universal’s blockbuster sequel, Jurassic World: Dominion, and the live-action film based on the popular video game Uncharted, starring Spider-Man himself Tom Holland, were also halted.

However, there is one production that was lucky enough to be finished despite the pandemic, and that is The Mandalorian season 2. Disney and Lucasfilm lucked out on this. The Mandalorian season 2 is on schedule for its release on Disney+. The production start date for The Mandalorian season 3 and its release date are unknown to us, but we are certain that Disney already has an idea of when they can put out The Mandalorian season 3.

Season 1 premiered back in November 2019, along with the release of Disney+. It became a huge success and a major hit. It is a no-brainer to have a second season of this series. Disney has been busy these past several months during pandemic, pushing the marketing on The Mandalorian season 2. Star Wars fans are excited and ecstatic for the upcoming season and what the episodes have to offer.

With the premiere of the season 2 teaser trailer, Star Wars fans all around the world are going nuts. The internet, of course, broke down the trailer, giving some opinions, theories, and speculation on what is what or who is who. With there being rumors of Rosario Dawson playing Ahsoka Tano and Temuera Morrison playing Captain Rex on the show, possibly as a backdoor pilot for a spin-off featuring the two of them as well as Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels, some fans thought that we might see familiar faces such as these within the teaser trailer. However, this turned out not to be the case.

Images that appeared in the trailer also made their way onto the Disney+ app. These all appear within the teaser trailer, so they might not be new to readers, though they are sure to continue building hype to some extent. You can check out the images in the tweet below, which Noah Outlaw (@OutlawNoah) passed on from @DarthRio on September 14, the day before the teaser dropped:

These images look fantastic, and they may give one goosebumps after seeing them. One of these images shows Din Djarin looking from his cockpit as an X-wing flies beside him. Another image depicts the Razor Crest as it is surrounded by the two X-wings. It looks cropped here, but it is definitely that same shot from the teaser trailer. Another image shows scout troopers driving swoop bikes off of a mountain, which is very exhilarating to see. In these three images, it is possible that Din Djarin and The Child are being chased. But of course, we do not have the full picture. And lastly, we have the shot of Cara Dune and Greef Karga walking side by side through a town, reminding viewers that they will be back for season 2. Just how big their roles will be this time around is anyone's guess, but we will not have to wait much longer.

Gear up, get your lightsaber out, and get your fellow Star Wars fans together, because The Mandalorian season 2 is finally coming to Disney+ on October 30. The Force is strong with this one.
