There are moments in life where you feel like you can’t get any lower. Where so much has happened that nothing else could possibly go wrong.
You wake up each morning with this empty feeling inside. You have a list going around in your mind of all the things you need to sort out. No sooner do you cross something off the list, something else pops up.
You are in pure survival mode. Living is not about having fun, but about getting through. Or at least that is what it has started to feel like.
Shaznai was convinced that she belonged on a different planet, that she is more than an average person, which opened her up to a whole new world of possibilities. I mean, what if there really is another world out there and you were accidentally left here on Earth and supposed to be trying to communicate with your own kind? She had met a guy who had told her about an alien race, but until recently she had dismissed it.
Her evening routine has turned into researching other life forms and solar systems. It has become a way of distracting herself from reality and from the hardships she struggles with. What could be worse than living in a small bedsit without any heating, a broken washing machine, disconnected tv service, no main light, no working car and an office job that pays you near to nothing? Not to mention escaping a narcissistic ex lover and having to move miles away from family and friends! Life on another planet could be so much better.
The amount of research that she had been doing, had led her to believe in many different species and kind of de-sensitise her from them. She had also found herself looking at different dimensional living and at times getting motivation from what she was able to read.
Nothing was about to prepare Shaznai for the week ahead though.
It had been about 4 weeks since Shaznai last heard from family. Everyone gets busy and caught up in their life and they don’t fully realise how lonely she may be by herself. Being the kind of person who is easy to get along with, they presume that she must have made friends and is getting on well. This is the conclusion that she cane to.
With the weather being good, Shaznai jumps on her push bike and heads to work as usual. It is a half hour journey by bike, but it is a great form of exercise. As she gets there she makes a cup of tea, takes her seat and waits for the first call to come through. It has become a habit to start the day with a cup of tea at her desk.
The day starts to drag and then she gets called into the managers office. Not something that happens very often. She is worried because it’s almost the end of her probation period and there is no way she can afford to be without a job. Suddenly Shaznai feels like she is over heating and trembling with fear.
Unaware to her, the reason she hadn’t heard from her family, is because her crazy ex lover had run them off the road. Well some of them. They had landed upside down in a ditch and her mother, father and sister are now dead. The only person still alive was her brother and he had been ill so the number she kept ignoring as it was unrecognised, was the hospital trying to contact her.
There was nothing in the world that could prepare her for this moment. She is stunned and scared and yet angry and so grateful that she was not losing her job. She can feel the colour draining from her face and immediately she is given some water and told to take a few weeks off.
Getting home had never been so easy. Shaznai packed her bags light as she only had her push bike and then set off for a two hour ride to her family home.
As she was riding she had so many questions running through her mind. She wanted to grab her ex and hurt him so badly, but knew better than to sink so low. Suddenly she has no parents and only a young brother left. There is no one at all that she can rely on and now she must take care of her brother. Life suddenly feels so lonely.
The weather changed and it started to rain. Freak weather was always likely here and Shaznai is not surprised by it. Not something she would usually ride her bike in though. Not that there was any choice and she argued with herself until she managed to focus on the track ahead. There was a short cut through a woodland area that she took on her way to work every morning. She knew the owner so it was ok. How she knew him is a strange story, but he was a pleasant guy.
All of a sudden there was a flash of light and she was no longer on the bike. She was struck by lightning or so she thinks and was now laying motionless on the floor.
Hours passed by and night time fell. She noticed the darkness around her, but was unable to move. She couldn’t feel her legs and seemed to be unable to move from her head down. All she could think about was how her brother would be feeling if he lost her to.
Shaznai had told her brother she would be there tomorrow, so he is not going to be worrying right now. In fact no one was going to be worrying about where she was right now and no one knew that she had left already. This means that no one would be looking for her.
Shaznai closed her eyes and decided that she had to make the most of things. In the morning the guy who owned the land was bound to walk his dogs and find her and she would then get help, but right now she needs to try and relax. Warm tears ran down her face and she cried herself to sleep.
When Shaznai awoke she saw the guy standing over her and he was smiling at her. She realised that she was no longer on the ground in the woods, but in a bed. Unable to feel her legs and to sit up, she screamed.
The guy started to ask her many questions. It was as though he was a doctor. Then he asked her if she had still been researching.
A smile crept across her face, because he had told her a story once about an alien craft and it was one of the reasons she had started her belief. She answered him about her research and then told him everything that had happened over the last few days and suddenly got frustrated that she was talking so much when really she needed medical help.
He asked her to close her eyes and to count to one hundred. He explained that he was able to help her, but she had to trust him. His voice was calming and she considered that maybe he was a doctor. After all he was asking her all these medical style questions and he was pretty smart.
The guy was actually named Dr Jaffa. The story he had told her about aliens had been real and he knew that one day she would awaken herself and come to him. Not quite like this though. He was called Dr Jaffa because he turned bright orange when healing someone. His connection with the elements enabled him to turn colour and heal.
Dr Jaffa touched her legs and she felt warmth and coldness. She felt light and heavy. She felt wet then dry. It was almost like she felt everything and it’s opposites. Her whole body started trembling and her veins felt so alive. Shaznai couldn’t keep her eyes closed any longer!
When she saw him burning with this bright orange light, light coming out of his hands and filling her up, she couldn’t find a reaction. She was not scared, it was like things made sense. He noticed her eyes open and immediately stopped.
He stared at her and was not sure why there was no reaction. Shaznai asked for his hand. At first he refused. She then laughed because his hand was normal when he wasn’t trying to heal.
“Touch me” she whispered. Placing his hand on her chest. “Touch me with your true self”
Dr Jaffa now seemed to be the nervous one. He had never shown himself to a person before upon request.
“I can only touch bare skin with my true self” he whispered back softly.
Shaznai placed his hand on her face and staring into his eyes she watched him transform. His touch was unbelievable. It filled her body with emotions and she could feel herself healing. She reached out to his face and it felt hot but didn’t burn.
Shaznai started to feel like she was better than ever. She had no pain, no stress and no confusion. Without asking she undid his shirt and stared in awe at how beautiful he looked.
“Are you sure?” He asked confidently and almost with a sense of power.
“Yes” she agreed without a shadow of doubt. Yearning to feel him touch her in every way that he could.
After what was probably hours, they both got dressed and Shaznai remembered what she was meant to be doing. Dr Jaffa reassured her that he would take her to her brother and that he would not let them out of his sight. Shaznai suddenly felt a sense of belonging. She no longer felt scared or alone. She felt no fear. She felt perfect balance.
Within herself ran the light of truth. She had filled herself up, with understanding and positivity. Truth in the form of light was healing. The natural light energy and the goodness that ran through Dr Jaffa now ran through her. His touch had healed her in so many ways.
