Morrigan at The River of Unius awaiting Dagda Arrival

Long ago, a time before time, a divine race floated in on a mist to the land of Ireland. The Tuatha De' Danann. The Tuatha were so divine, they were considered Godly because of the special magical abilities possessed with in the groups. Arriving to the land to protect the innocent humans who deserved divine protection, also sharing new ways to live off the land successfully. The Tuatha would challenge and destroy any who would seek damage to humanity. Humans were closest in likeliness to themselves. But Fomorians arrived just before the Tuatha, always trying to seek destruction of humans.

The Irish called the Tuatha Fae or Faeries. But one of the Tuatha was the most powerful of the Fae was Dagda. Dagda was King and a great warrior. A God. Besides the fact Dagda controlled the four sacred relics of the Tuatha tribe to protect mankind and was just as lethal as his relics.

The Stone of Destiny- Crying out a praise to the rightful King of Ireland. Some say the same stone is the one Merlin drove the Sword of Light into and cast a spell to whoever pulled the sword out would be the next King of England. But, alas, folklore of course.

The Spear of Lugh- Enchanted to never fail in battle and to never fail the person using the spear.

The Sword of Light- None escapes the sword when used. The sword is to be known for glowing as bright as a flame when used in battle. Legend says King Author pulled the Sword of Light from the Stone of Destiny.

The Cauldron if Dagda- The Cauldron was known to sustain and satisfy if welcomed by Dagda.

There were other relics carried by Dagda but not more historically impressionable on humankind. A Harp, in which Dagda would call upon to entertain him and the harp would barrel through any person in the path and kill them. Dagda carried a huge club and one strike from the club meant death.

Irish people loved Dagda in his brawny ways. But none loved him more than the Scots. Dagda was known for getting rowdy and well within his cups with anyone who would dare. Dagda visited Scotland quite a bit. Was given kilts from many Clans for his aid in battles with the Pic Vikings. Dagda loved a good battle because at the end of every battle was celebration. Battles, celebrations, and women, in exact order.

Fomorians were evil. Not human. Creatures who could take any form to trick the eyes to think what they see is one thing but really a hideous disgusting monster waiting to devour any human encountered. Fomorians were the worst of the worst.

Dagda did have one love in his life. Morrigan. Many have heard her by the name of Morgan, Morganna, Morgan le Fay, or Goddess of War and Life and Death. Morrigan reflected Dagda’s love. Dagda was strong and had the stamina she so desired. So much she assisted him in many battles. Slaying enemies’ side by side. Dagda’s dream come true. Morrigan would often make Dagda skip to past the celebrations but he was a man of his word to his men would in turn battle Morrigan in refusal. Ultimately giving Morrigan exactly what she wanted in the first place.

Morrigan met men and women in battle and destroyed all who faced up against her. A true asset to Dagda and all he fought for. Protecting humankind from true evil laying just outside of the eye line, waiting for the right moment when no one is watching to pounce and kill all human life in order to rule the world.

In a peaceful cottage located in the northern art of Ireland next The River of Unius, when her assistance was not needs, Morrigan lived a quiet simple life as an old peasant woman in disguise. Once a year, Morrigan would transform back into her beautiful Fae self and Dagda would visit Morrigan, in a promise to always aid Dagda in battle. The two would seal the act with sex. Morrigan was just as passionate at love making as she was about her war battles. Dagda enjoyed every second.

Writhing and exchanging love for one another in the river for one whole day would be exhausting to an average human, but not for Dagda and Morrigan. Keeping the deal solid and unbroken one must work hard to keep ones promise at whatever cost and however hard the drive required.

Many of the Tuatha De Danann have come and gone from Ireland during changes in time to seek out other parts of Europe. England. Scotland. Greece. Germany. Figuring help may be needed in other areas of the world in protecting the humans. But the year the fate of the world was changed, also was a change both Dagda and Morrigan just were not ready for.
