Have Sagittarius, Will Wander

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence so they say.

Well it's December 2021 and the Sun is moving through Sagittarius as we speak and doing quite well it would appear. With Saturn in agreeable sextile and Jupiter also, we are feeling optomistic about booking that trip that has been denied us for so long. The mix-ups and travel confusion at the airports in the news recently is most likely temporarily due to square Neptune in Pisces but you knew that didn't you? And the ones most likely to be yearning to travel are probably Sagittarius or Sagittarius mixes. What does that mean you might ask?

SUN

So you were blessed with the Sun in Sagittarius the day you were born. Lucky you! You'll live your life believing that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence and you'll drag everyone else along who agrees with you. Your symbol is the archer, part man, part horse aiming his bow to the stars. An acquaintance of mine is a Sun in Sagittarius woman who owns and manages a horse stable. Coincidence?

It doesn't matter if they're secret snow bunnies and would rather go skiing than scuba diving in Jamaica or aren't especially enthusiastic about learning a foreign language, you'll convince them to start packing and brushing up on their high school French anyway. I know a Sagittarius who's been kicking up his heels in Mexico the last few weeks. Intuition tells me that he'd rather this vacation become a permanent thing. Some Sagittarius people never come home (except to visit).

ASCENDANT - MOON - JUPITER - URANUS - NEPTUNE - PLUTO

Or you have Ascendant, Mercury, Venus, Moon, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn in Sagittarius - you name it. No matter, anywhere you've got it you'll chomp at the bit, the horse that you are. Ascendant? You're tall and athletic. Moon? Your mother was religious. Jupiter? You go WAY overboard and are luckier than most, you gambler you. Uranus? It's your spark of adrenaline. Neptune? Eternal wanderer - you go with the flow and breathe a sigh of relief when you cross the border. You experience magic and mystery in foreign cultures. Pluto? You can be compulsive/obsessive about these things or traumatized. Did someone try to force religion on you?

MERCURY

Mercury there will incline you to dash over details to the extent that you get the facts all wrong but you're great at philosophy and probably know a few phrases in Spanish.

VENUS

A Venus Sagittarius really wants to fall in love with someone from a different race and culture but may settle for someone involved in sports, religion, travel or even a college buddy who shares the same viewpoint. Notoriously horse crazy as a kid, you probably collected miniature horse statues and begged your parents for lessons.

Passionately fond of the chase, you're great at the hunt. It's all about the challenge but God forbid if your lover ties you down or bores you. You'll be on the next train out of town.

I've got Venus there and I must admit that anyone from another part of the world (or even my own country) always seemed more appealing than the guys I grew up with. Those of us who've got this might find ourselves getting more than we bargained for if the cultural differences eventually become obstacles but it's also true that there are those who adapt quite easily. It's how you look at it that counts.

MARS

Mars Sagittarius jumps into sports and games enthusiastically but take it from Ministargazer, they're inclined to miss the mark and sometimes end up with sprained ankles and torn ligaments in the legs if they get carried away. My sister was accident prone on horseback, galloping ahead and leaving me in the dust. But she was the one who broke bones! Always planning the next trip to Mexico, Ireland, you name it, she was off and running. These people don't believe in speed limits and get really impatient when you ask them to slow down and they absolutely hate being confined.

SATURN

Saturn in Sagittarius might get you an academic position but getting there will be tougher than you thought. Still, it's a feather in your cap when others regard you as an authority in your field - law, education, religion, philosophy. Horses might appeal to you if you regard them as a business but beware. With the Lord of Karma sitting in this sign they could be your downfall just as easily. Instead of being drawn to foreigners, you're stuck with them - probably teaching English as a second language. Can you repeat that again for me. I'm sorry I don't understand...

And so on it goes, optomistic, happy-go-lucky Sagittarius, always wearing a smile. No beating around the bush for these guys.

"Oh come on", you say, "you're exaggerating". Yes, I could be. I've got Mercury in Sagittarius you know, so the truth comes naturally. Usually I blurt it out without thinking. I'm great at seeing the silver lining so why not look on the bright side?
