Gemini, unfriend your party twin

It's time to put your feet up and switch off your phone

Gemini, you've packed so much into 2021 already so take a break!

Oh my Gemini, you just don't know when to quit, do you?

Like the other dual signs, you're a walking, talking, real life contradiction, an enigma wrapped in a mystery and tied with a paradoxical ribbon.

But unlike Librans who weigh up the pros and cons and eventually find an answer or dreamy Pisceans who gradually realize their fishy duo can swim in sync, Geminis remain eternally pushed and pulled in different directions.

The quiet, philosophical twin wants to ponder world problems and retreat to a peaceful sanctuary but mischievous, flighty party twin is having none of it. "You're a long time dead," he whispers as he lulls his thoughtful brother off on yet another adventure.

By now, nearly halfway through 2021, you're tired, aren't you? You've packed so much into the past six months. Your career has soared, you've salted away a lot of money, you've moved cities. You're running on empty now.

So here's my forecast for all Geminis -- rest and recharge because you're headed for a crash otherwise.

Sorry to be so dire but I know you.

You say you want to stay in your comfy bed with all of your photos, magazine clippings, pretty things, projects half-started scattered around your floor and your laptop open playing a podcast while you read an e-book and watch a movie.

But the phone is always blazing up with messages from myriad friends with offers of places to be and fun to be had. The pull is just too strong.

Gregarious twin gets her way again and it's on with the usually white clothes, expensive, floaty linen, or inexpensive, quirky, vintage in some gorgeous shade of blue or purple and out the door, smelling of Spring flowers. And don't forget the hat. Gemini loves her hats.

It's no wonder you get so run down and sometimes stay in bed for days. Haven't you heard of the expression "burning the candle at both ends"?

Well, let me break it down for you, eventually there's no candle left. The bright burn eats itself up.

But you can't slow down -- that's why you get so angry and frustrated when you're sick. Your body just won't do all of the millions of things your mind insists must be done, NOW.

Your bright, intelligent eyes are always flicking around the room as you create mischief and flirt outrageously. You really are a different person when you're out. Is this the reason you like to keep your friendship groups separate? Or why you are so intensely secretive? You must know everyone else's machinations while you expertly manage your own privacy.

Where does she get the energy, other sluggish-by-comparison signs wonder as you float on by, air sign that you are.

"Mercurial" is the perfect adjective for you -- your mood can change in a heartbeat -- but it is also derived from your ruling planet named for the messenger God.

Little Mercury, the bravest planet, as it whizzes so close to the explosive energy of the sun. The God with wings on his heels, delivering missives to the masses.

And it's this bravery that makes you so endearing and loved by friends and family. Your courage coupled with your sharp intellect, thoughtful insights and old-soul advice is sought after.

You're a brilliant communicator and can text at a million miles an hour. Life is never boring when you're around. But it's time to wind down just for a little while.

Just don't spread yourself too thin this month because you're tired, did I tell you that already?

Rest, close your eyes, recharge your batteries, everything you want to do will still be there tomorrow little, precious Gemini.
