Whether you are the relationship type or perma-bachelor, this summer is heating up. While we can’t wait to see what’s on the grill this Cancer season, we are enjoying the appetizers right now. Gemini, you already know what your plate looks like: Probably a little too much food despite the fact that you specifically avoided certain dishes; doused in some condiment you “accidentally” put too much of even though we all know you did it on purpose – or, at the very least, were testing your limits. You carry that plate with shame and pride. Hopeful to finish every bite while swallowing the inevitable loss of giving up before it’s cleared. Nobody is judging you, Gemini.

Although Gemini is known for being notoriously talkative, many are not all that adventurous. It seems to be a heavily stereotyped aspect of the radiant, friendly personality of the most lovable air sign (sorry Libra [we know Aquarius doesn’t care]). But until you’ve met an introverted Gemini, you will never understand the complexities of being double-minded. If you’ve been a little too afraid to put yourself out there lately, Gemini, now is the time to practice. Whether its rehearsing conversations in front of your mirror (is that a Leo placement I see?) or talking it out with a friend first, you better get comfortable in your skin.

The sooner the better; love is coming in blazing.

For single Gemini, you’ll be pleasantly surprised or totally disappointed. That can only be determined by what you want. Either way, someone is about to show up in the next few months to sweep you off your feet. And chances are, they won’t be the only one. After all, some lousy little feelings aren’t about to ruin your Hot Gem Summer. Be wary, though, Gemini. If you have yet to master juggling, there’s no reason to add another prop to the routine. We would hate to see you get John Tucker’d, even if we know you have it coming.

For Gemini in relationships, just know the love is growing. These things take time and you must be patient not only with yourself but your partner, too. Lately, you feel rushed (Aries, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Capricorn, Pisces) or left confused (Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Aquarius) by them and vice versa. Now is a good time to sit down together and think about your futures, with or without each other. But while you get serious, remember to stay playful. If you’ve been missing the single life, maybe it’s time to bring someone new in – or pretend to be someone new. The possibilities and toy selection are endless.

I wouldn’t worry too much about money while also watching your spending. For as impulsive as you can be, there seems to be a certain level of self-control when it comes to day-to-day purchasing. Instead, you always have enough to drop a lot on something you justify as a need no matter how much it hurts you. Try not to blow the last of your paycheck on something you have yet to realize is frivolous. Something as simple as telling yourself “no” to replacing your perfectly good gaming console with the newer model can change your life. But maybe tell that salesperson at the mall kiosk “no”, too. We’ve accepted there will never be a balance for chaotic Gemini. It’s simply time to shift to the other extreme.

This season is all about nurturing ourselves into bloom, doing what we want in the moment, being there for our dearest friends, enjoying the extended weekend, partying a little too hard while still maintaining responsibility, switching from hot tea to iced coffee, getting less than six hours of sleep and feeling replenished, talking back to the birds, scribbling thoughts instead of writing them, making pretty pictures in your mind or on paper or with words, trampolines, friendship bracelets, morning sex, midnight cries, streaking in the moonlight, singing out of tune because it’s funny, trying new foods, telling people how you feel, road trips for long distance relationships, putting on your comfortable shoes, playing pranks on those you love, and giving strangers compliments.
