ELX(Everyone’s Linux), is a Linux-focused company based in India. ELX’s first product, ELX Power Desktop, received a very good response.

Everyone’s Linux (ELX) Desktop (formerly 3T Solutions), developed in 2002 in association with Maxil Technology Solutions Inc, US, a Linux-based desktop operating system that has the same functionality and features as a Windows OS along with the added feature of security and robustness. Linux ELX is India’s first commercial Linux-based Operating System, which claims to match Windows by every feature and provides the additional advantages of Linux’s robustness and security.

Linux is small, customizable, extremely Internet-compatible, and in some cases is available for free. Among Internets/intranets and ISPs, Linux will continue to grow, especially in corporate America; we’ll see a continued adoption. There will be new growth in the areas of E-commerce, IoT, and business-to-business Internet EDI (electronic data exchange). It will start showing up in all sorts of Internet appliances, including wearable computers, video-conferencing systems, etc. We’ll see more and more people use a 64-bit Linux on the IA-64 (Merced). Linux will continue to move into the data center via high-availability clusters and 16- to 32-way SMP systems. Other spiffy features like I2O, hot-swap, serial-based server management, and control, etc., will find adequate support in the days ahead. So, although some of us probably may be using Windows- and Mac-based computers well into the 21st century, our cell phones, PDAs, and Net appliances may soon be wearing a Linux interface.

The widespread adoption of the Internet of Things will take time, but the time line is advancing thanks to improvements in underlying technologies. Now is the time for executives across all industries to structure their thoughts about the potential impact and opportunities likely to emerge from the IoT. The Cloud Era (Infrastructure 2.0) was driven by web-scale giants in the 2000s using a new kind of technologies– Linux, KVM, Xen, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, MySQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Scala, and many others. Android is a derivative of the GNU/Linux operating system, which alike Linux is an open-source, UNIX-like operating system. Other popular open-source products developed over the years and are still extensively used are Chromium, Mozilla Firefox, LibreOffice, Apache HTTP Server, etc.

In 2020, we find that Artificial Intelligence is connecting the dots of everything from sensors in static buildings to mobile cars, and to the human brain. New software and digital transformation will create experiences for new interactive interfaces such as Voice, Computer Vision, and Augmented Reality. How data drives the algorithms and how the algorithms drive customer outcomes will be left behind, unable to pivot in our fast-paced disrupt-or-be-disrupted environment, competing for the attention of our distracted customers who expect us to not only deliver on- promise but to anticipate their needs.

Car companies are collaborating with each other to share data about road safety with an Alexa Auto speaking with us as we drive in some cars. Hospitals use wearable tech to monitor our biometrics and track our health. Meanwhile, they have AI chatbots that communicate with various stakeholders that make a hospital run efficiently. As we fly between cities, airports use facial recognition to speed up security checks.

From the ground to the air, in a smart city, everything is connected So, looking at data prior to building AI solutions will enable planners to find the gaps that require innovation. Data from cities, businesses, and IoT sensors embedded in wearables and cars provide extremely valuable information about what industries are disrupted and how corporate innovators can manage the upcoming digital transformation.

It's been 20 years since Linux came to the markets and since then it has never been the same. It is growing.

The Linux operating system market size was USD 5.33 billion in 2021. The market is projected to grow from USD 6.27 billion in 2022 to USD 22.15 billion by 2029 at a CAGR of 19.8% during the 2022-2029 period. (https://lnkd.in/gb6BqazE)
