EXT. cemetery Midnight

THE WIND BLEW ACROSS THE DUSTY LANDSCAPE OF THE CEMETERY, ROWS OF HEADSTONES COMPOSE OF GRANITE, LIMESTONE, AND MARBLE STOOD ERECT IN THE STILLNESS OF THE NIGHT.

THE SURROUNDING AREA WAS UNKEMPT AND OVERGROWN. AS THE MOON SLIPPED BEHIND THE CLOUDS, THE PALE LIGHT CAST AN EERIE SHADOW ON A RECENTLY DESTROY HEADSTONE.

THE BROKEN PIECES OF STONE LAY SCATTERED, AS IF IT WAS HIT BY AN EXPLOSION. A FEW FEET AWAY, COVERED IN THE DEBRIS AND DIRT WAS A BODY OF A MAN.

HE IS A FAIRLY LARGE MAN WHO APPEARED TO BE IN SHAPE, ABOUT 6'2, 230 LBS. HE HAD A WOUND THAT Seen TO BE SOMETHING HE GOT FROM THE ROCKS THAT WERE AROUND. THE WOUND WAS STILL BLEEDING. HIS WALLET LAY OPEN A FEW INCHES AWAY FROM HIS BODY, LIKE HE WAS BEING ROBBED BUT THE ROBBER GAVE UP HALF WAY THOUGH. UPON CLOSER INSPECTION HIS ID WAS VISIBLE, IT READ DONNIE HAMMER,29 FROM ATLANTA GA. HIS EYES STARTED TO OPEN, SLOWLY STIRRING DONNIE SHOOK HIS HEAD TRYING TO CLEAR IT. LOOKING AROUND TO SURVEY THE CHAOS AROUND HE, SAYING TO HIS SELF,

Donnie: "What was that? Damn it! They took it; I can't believe I let them get it."

(His eyes started to open, slowly stirring Donnie shook his head trying to clear it. Looking around to survey the chaos saying to his self, touching his face where the cut was, and just noticing it was still bleeding pretty bad. He starts to dab at it with his tatter shirt, his vision adjusting to the night's light. Seeing his wallet off in the distant, he grabs it then tries to stand, a little unstable at first, his legs not quite under him yet. He said in a rustic voice as he realized something missing from it. He continued, as he looked around again to make sure he was alone, not seeing anything but the gravestones and the hole he had made, then it came back to him as to what he was doing and why he was digging up a grave.)

Voice: "So, it comes to this?"

(said a voice in the shadowy distant.)off scene

Donnie: "Who's there? Was you watching the whole time? Why didn't you help me? You know what's at stake. That's all you things know how to do, is dictate, with the power you process you could have easily taken care of all this. What do you want from me?"

Voice: "We want the same thing, and that is the survive of our species. We are not permitted to enter in your reality. We can only move things through it, that is are law. If we alter it too much, we will not exist. Look the Minotaur still lives you have not finish it, kill it fast so we can go. We have to stop the other!"

(The voice said. it spoke with a slipper, oily voice like that of an eel if it could speak. its silhouette out lined by the glow from the moon, eyes flaring like two freshly drawn pools of blood. it was hunched over slightly, like it was ready to pounce if need be, but Donnie knew better. it limbs was gangling, but the stomach area was frill and concave as if it was sucking it in. the the face was not visible, a trick the thing used to hide its identity, but it did give off a smell. burnt roses and maple syrup. the smell reminded Donnie of breakfast out in a garden. still on his knees, Donnie looked in the direction the thing was speaking in. he knew it would not harm him like the others, but he was still wary of getting close to it. he had to get though, that's the only way this night would be over. as Donnie got back to his feet, still wobbly, he looks at his hands. they were gnarled, cracked, and swollen, caked with blood and dirt. making his way to the figure in the shadows, it spoke again. The shape jeer.)

Donnie: "Great those damn monks left it here as a guard,to make sure I couldn't go after them."

Voice: "Use it, the weapon we gave you!"

(The thing said. nodding in response Donnie put his hands together and out of nowhere the Minotaur started to charge, taking Donnie by surprise. hitting the ground again, getting pinned against a large obelisk shaped grave stone. Donnie had no time to think, he just did what those things showed him, holding his hands even tighter, he realizes that he wasn't dead. the Minotaur was frozen, one of its horns pierced what was left of his tatter shirt.)

Donnie: "It worked? I just thought about being cold and froze it. If I could get use to using the essence I'll be on the same level as those monks. And I'll have the joy of trying to stop them."

(Donnie said surprised. working his way free of the overly muscular, 500 lbs, ax wielding beast. Donnie thought for a minute, his body started to tingle all over, he looked at his hands, the cuts and bruises that were there started to vanish, along with all the other injuries he received earlier in the scrimmage with the monks and the mystical creatures they conjured, to try to kill him or distract him regardless it was long enough to get the finale piece for the unlocking the gates of reality and ending time.)

3 crazed monks who tapped into the essence of time, and gain the ability (with their combine powers) to pull life forms from other realities. At least that is what the stories say about them. Donnie knew all too well that it was defiantly true, just like the last bit that said, that the beings they were trying to pull threw was a time eater. It would hop to other realities and devour its essence. It cause the fabric of time and space to being pulling a part, tears reality started to show but the Laikrodis's stopped it. They sealed the being in a space an time where reality had no construct or meaning, but the monks unaware of this, somehow managed to pull some of the being's essence threw the tear it had cause. The essence gave them even more power but at a cost. The essence was a part of the being itself. It continued to feed the monks and soon they had only one desire which was to free this amazing entity that promised even more power along with the knowledge of devouring realities. He told them how they could be freed and show them the keys the Laikrodis made and where to find them.

"And I had the last key." (Internally)

His mind still on the subject as he put his hand on the shadowy creature's shoulder, feeling his body slipping through time as they hop realities. It was like passing through a thin layer of water. He couldn't help but to wonder how he came to possess an item that could destroy not just the world but time itself.

Voice: "We are please to see you can now harness and use the essence, now we will show you how to fold space. We are not that helpless as you think."

(Donnie, with his hands still on the things arm, found that he was calm now, his heart beat at a steady paste, his breathing no longer felt rushed but normal, but his mind was being bombarded with images the Laikrodis was cramming in his head. Donnie look up at the Laikrodis, it kind of reminded him of a koala bear but the face wasn't right, it was in the form of a snail. it was cover in what looked like fur but to the touch it felt like skin.)

Donnie: "Great now your reading my mind, that'll be a nice trick to show me to, maybe it help me against those monks." (Internally)"It'll also help me with the ladies."

Voice: "We don't have time to help you develop your small ego"

(Indicating Donnie's lower region)

Donnie: "Hey! Was that an attempt at a joke?"

Voice: "You must be quick, catch the last one and put an end to this or..."
