Earth in 2050 is something to look forward to.

You wake up without any alarm, the lights in your bedroom gradually lighted up, mimicking a warm sunrise. As your natural circadian rhythm was optimal it triggered the preprogramed setting for waking, and you are greeted by Jane, your Guide.

- Hello Nick, it`s 7:30, your usual coffee ?

In the kitchen the coffee machine starts up and starts brewing Nick's preferred coffee.

- Your work schedule for today starts at 10:00, what do you want to do this morning ?

- I really want to finish that book from yesterday, can you play it on audio please ?

- Sure Nick, playing.

While you do your morning routine, washing up, exercise, drink your coffee from the balcony, Jane is following you silently, from the drone module, hovering near you, playing the book you requested.

- Thank you Jane, you can pause it, remind me where I am at, and how many minutes are left from the book 1 hour before bedtime today.

- Ok Nick, do you need anything else ?

- Yes, while I do my morning run, please check the last quarter numbers, highlight the latest trends with other similar businesses in UK, and do a simulation of opening a 3rd shop, in Bangladesh, initial costs, timelines and projected profits over 5 years. Finally we stopped looking into our smart phones. Now we have Guides. A personal AI powered assistant, it's a digital entity, cloud based, extremely secure, always connected to the internet via satellite, wherever you are. It's similar to an email account back in 2025.

Life expectancy has risen to 130 years for people born after 2020. Due to enhanced research into biochemical processes, treatments are available that prolong life and reduce aging, if you can afford it. Even better results the earlier you apply the treatments. We do not yet understand the long term implications of this.

Depending on the type you like and afford you can choose between the basic hardware for your Guide to experience the world around you.

A hovering drone like globe with 180 degree view, proximity scanner and speaker, which can communicate with many people at once. This is also used as assistants in hospitals, museums and similar jobs.

Or, if you want the fastest method to interact with your Guide, you can opt for a discreet implant in your brain, behind your ear, that enables the connection to a chip (initially it was a necklace like device). The chip enables direct connection to the internet and to your Guide, and enables the Guide to experience the world through your eyes and senses, if you wish to, we do have options, we are not in a dystopian universe. This is the most expensive option, but it is also the most rewarding one. It has changed the way humans experience the world around them. Information is now freely available, you can fully configure how you can see the world around you, especially if you opt for display contacts or glasses.

The implant also enables us to connect to actual Virtual Reality, from the safety of our homes or special VR Points, where you can connect and be monitored.

There are also many combinations and variations of these technologies.

The entertaining business has become more regulated, freedom of options is a coveted thing across the globe but human trafficking and porn is a thing of the past now. There are much more rewarding ways of entertaining, including direct hormonal manipulation centers. Organ traffic is no longer required as we can print basic human parts and health plan is considered a basic human right. All governments are required to provide health assistance.

There are groups of people who still reject the current technology but the people who were born before the internet era are no longer present. Technology is too much part of our lives to resist it. If you do not use a Guide, you can't keep up with the modern world anymore.

In order to keep up with the new technologies people have a higher adaptability to changes and a normal person has 2-3 specializations, none related to each other, acquired while exploring what they like and are good at. For example, a human relationship expert can have a 5-10 year experience in material development and be a bakery shop owner for 10 years.

2035 was called the year of lost hope. Depresion was at an all time high. Humans thought they will be replaced by artificial intelligence. AI Agents took over 40 % of the jobs and roles from corporations, small businesses and services. It became common to work in a team with human specialists and AI Agents. Most of the roles that could be automated, were automated, Corporations started having hybrid teams - human / AI. Multi millionaire businesses were created to configure and maintain AI Agents which slowly evolved into AIG.

The robotic industry didn't keep up with AI developments, but an actual working human android is not that far, maybe in 2060.

The life of the average person is filled with purpose, to help your neighbor, to create something new and discover new cultures, a coveted heritage across the globe.

We started looking at the stars more and the first colony on Mars is being built, there are 150 permanent residents now. The first factory on the moon to process magnesium, titanium and silica has reached it`s 5 year mark in 2050. Crucial in the production of space stations and ships, projects currently in development.

New energy technologies and engines were developed with the help of AI enhanced research and development. The main energy generation has switched from fossil fuels to Hydrogen cells, in most of the countries. There are also space solar farms in high orbit that capture the power of the sun and transmit it to earth or directly charge 100 MW / 400 GWh battery cells.

That night, Nick is looking at the moon, looking forward to the weekend, he has a scheduled trip to South Pole–Aitken basin, his 3rd moon break this year.
