"Don't Toy With Me Miss Nagatoro" is a Japanese manga anime series. It's also known as "Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san" or "Please Don't Bully Me Miss Nagatoro". The series features two main characters and five to six side characters. However, the main male character has some issues and the female main character loves to enjoy this. This is how the story is about. Before jumping into the subject let's talk about the manga and anime history of "Don't Bully Me Miss Nagatoro".

Manga

The manga Don't Bully Me Miss Nagatoro has been written and illustrated by Nanashi. Web Manga released this manga under the Hepburn series. It's also known as 774. This manga was first released on the internet first and later it debuted in a press release. The publisher of this manga is Kodansha. Vertical publishing house licensed this manga to release in North America. The manga came on 1st November in 2017 and it's still ongoing. The manga has a total of 10 volumes at the time I'm writing the post.

Anime

After the manga got popular, the Telecom Animation Film decided to produce anime on this manga. So they hired Hirokazu Hanai as a director. Taki Kishimoto wrote the episode story. The anime came on 11th April in 2021. Till now it has only 4 episodes. According to the studio, it'll have 12 episodes and it should be ended on 27th June 2021. Please Don't Bully Me Nagatoro English sub is available on Crunchyroll roll and it's free to watch it. Now this anime can be a good one like Chivalry Of A Failed Knight season 1 English dub and sub. I hope they won't ruin the ending just like this anime.

Plot

Well, the story starts straight from the library of a high school. four first-year girls are having fun there. At that time, the main male character Naoto Hachioji. As he is very weak at approaching girls, he became very afraid of them. Actually, Naoto is a second-year high school student. That's why those girls call him Senpai (means senior). Accidentally, Naoto drops his handwritten comic book story and other girls laugh at it. All the girls went out after that except Nagatoro, the main female character. She starts bullying him because of his comic book story and gives him some suggestions as well.

Soon after the first encounter, Nagatoro keeps visiting him. She soon finds out that her senpai is nerdy, shy, and a closet pervert. Not only that, Naoto never fights back. After that many incidents happen and the two of them get along well without knowing that they both develop a crush for each of them. Later Nagatoro's friend starts bullying him also. But soon after they find out that Nagatoro has a crush on Naoto. They start supporting her.

Why is this show popular?

This show is popular for few reasons. The main reason is that it has neither supernatural elements nor a different world like the world of swords and sorceries. It's just a simple anime. Here few reasons for this anime to be popular down below.

  • It's close to reality and some people may feel connected towards the character.
  • This show has a little bit of ecchi scenes.
  • Good story flow so far
  • It has good comedy scenes as well.

Final Words

Last but not the least, this anime is quite popular for its romantic and comedy genre. Other than this, the story is also interesting. People are loving watching that a girl showing love by bullying her partner. The anime is still ongoing and the manga as well. So it's too soon to jump to the conclusion that it's one of the best anime other than the Shounen genre.
