If you are like this author, you might have had (or still have) an HGTV stage. You are hooked to Property Brothers, Flip or Flop, Love It or List It, House Hunters, and Fixer Upper. It all started when we were teenagers watching MTV's Cribs and dreaming of the different things we would like in our future homes (Home theater or indoor pool perhaps?).

People who are into a specific fandom may want to dedicate a room in their house to that fandom. It would be great to have a Star Wars room, a Marvel room, or a Lakers room. Perhaps you might have to compromise with a Star Wars corner if you live in a one-bedroom apartment. Let’s dream a tad bit bigger. What if you could have a Darth Vader house?

Recently, our resident Jedi Master joker (see what we did there?) Mark Hamill tweeted about a certain house that just hit the Houston market.

You heard that right. There is a “Darth Vader House” for sale in Houston, TX. Here is the official description on Zillow.

“Known to many as “ The Darth Vader House” this contemporary masterpiece is one not to miss. Over 7,000 sq. , of living, principal bedroom down, open rooms, massive windows, a museum home setting on a prestigious W. University Street. Custom throughout with ample closets, 4 car garage, versatile living spaces, large lot. Nothing else like it in the area. Come visit us Wednesday 12-2 pm. A special thanks to DAX studio designs for the amazing staging.”

So this author has picked up a new hobby recently when a few of her coworkers are looking for new houses. We are now checking out house listings online, which is even more fun when we are using someone else’s budget. Let’s take a look at this “Darth Vader House” as this author channels her super amateur real estate agent eyes.

The “Darth Vader House” definitely has great curb appeal. The front exterior resembling the helmet of the Dark Lord of the Sith will definitely attract the attention of anyone passing by. This is no cookie-cutter tract home. The 4-bedroom, 5-bath, 4-car garage house is definitely one of a kind. Built in 1992, this house is a turnkey (not sure why Mr. Hamill would even suggest renovation and/or redemption). Just bring your bags!

The unique exterior is not just a gimmick for Star Wars fans. The massive mirrored windows in the back of the house, reminiscent of the smooth back of Darth Vader’s helmet, allow for great natural lighting inside. The high ceilings combined with the modern open concept help to make this house feel even larger than 7,040 square feet. Built to entertain, the kitchen area flows seamlessly with the multiple dining areas and living area. The large kitchen islands allow for our savvy chefs to whip up a great banquet. (Electric stove though. That is a total deal breaker for this author!).

The living area features a conversation pit and colored tube lighting for mood lightning. Bathe yourself in the Light Side blue or Dark Side red while you meditate on the fate of the universe. Imagine lounging around comfortably with your friends here (This author is not a fan of the conversation pit as it is a potential trip hazard for this clumsy person).

If the outdoors is more your thing, this house has a large outdoor balcony area and a massive fenced grass backyard. Your dog can frolic around to its heart’s content. There are also mature trees in front of the house for those who just want to sit under a tree and read.

Does this house check all the boxes for you? It can be yours for $4,300,000 or roughly about $25,283 per month. There is no HOA, which is a definite plus. Houston housing market is booming so you know the property value will go up even more in the future! This house has been on the market for about a week, but you know it will go fast!

Do you want to live inside of Darth Vader’s head (as pointed out by Inside the Magic)? Do you want to tell the whole world of your love for Star Wars? This house can help your Star Wars credibility skyrocket to rival that of Dave Filoni and George Lucas.

Maybe this author will just spruce up her Star Wars corner just a tad bit more. How about adding some Darth Vader sheets?
