Once there was an intelligent beautiful orphan named Cherish. She knew not where she came from the only piece of identity that she had from her past was a medallion tied around her neck with her name on it. She was an orphan found at the steps of an orphanage abandoned. One day she was on her way on a remarkable journey to figure out where she had come from for the orphanage had kicked her out at the prime age of 17. She was walking along the path through the screeching woods behind a clearing near the orphanage when she decided to take a shortcut. It was not long before Cherish felt lost and confused.

She looked around, but all she could see were trees. Nervously she felt into her bag for her favorite comfort blanket, which just so happened to be the one that she was swaddled in when she was abandoned, but her blanket wasn't there. Cherish began to panic, she felt sure she had packed her blankie on this excursion. To make matters worse cherish was starting to feel weak and hungry unexpectedly she saw a terrifying dog glistening in the full moonlight with shimmering dust of silver and gold. The ominous dog disappeared into the trees." how odd!" Thought to Cherish.

With no other logical way of dealing with her hunger and how lost and frightened she was, she had decided to follow this peculiar ominous canine. Perhaps it could tell her the way out of the forest or show her the thing that her heart craved the most, the truth about her past. Eventually, Cherish reached a meadow. She found herself surrounded by houses made of different sorts of materials that she was not familiar with. Foreign and alien-like materials. Some had a peculiar glow to them almost as if they lit up in bioluminescence where when the temperature changed by someone walking by different colors sparkled. Others retracted like flowers being put into the shade disguising themselves with nearby bushes and trees.

She continued down her path through the house along the meadow, Cherish could feel her hunger aching as if it was coming from her bones. Looking at the houses did nothing but make her yearn for a good meal and a place to lay her head giving the essence of a lonely, cold, and starving. “Hello?” She called “is anybody there?” Nobody replied all she could hear was the wrestling of bushes and leaves on the trees as the breeze passed through. Cherish looked at the doors and window which had lights shining through them from the inside.

She thought to herself I wonder if it would be rude to knock on the door and ask for a drink of water or a slice of bread? It would be polite for her to ask to be invited in for a meal or a place to stay for she had nothing to offer. Maybe her luck would change on this cold night to where she would find a gentle soul that could have something to spare. Scared, Cherish knocked on the first door. The colors on the house changed from dark green to a shimmery orange and yellow with a hint of pink. A small elf child answered the door. “Hello, little one is your parents’ home?” The little elf child slams the door. All Cherish could hear was little footsteps running. Cherish started to cry for she was so hungry and lost.

She started to walk away when she heard the door opened again. “Who are you and what do you want with our humble home? We have nothing for you human be on your way." With a gentle nervous voice Cherish wipe the tears from her face and whimpered "I'm so sorry to have disturbed you madam but I am so hungry and so lost, so cold, if you could spare a bite to eat, a slice of bread, a bit of water I would be eternally grateful for your kindness." The elf woman opened the door wider and said, " Yes my dear child, I will never see a child go hungry from my kind or yours." "Oh, thank you madam Thank you so much for your kindness I will repay you as soon as I can, but I have nothing to give you right now." Cherish muttered. The elf woman replied," pish posh now in you go before you catch your death."

Cherish walked through the house "Mmmmm, it smells like a feast of kings and your home is nicer than anything I've ever seen before." The woman blushed and insisted that Cherish sit at the table and eat until her belly was full. While Cherish was eating the elf woman looked at her in a very peculiar way. Cherish was finishing her last bites of food and drink, she looked at the elf woman and asked, " Why do you look at me with eyes of such curiosity have you never seen a human orphan girl before?" The elf woman giggled, " our kind has been hidden from humans for years but we have one tail of a humanoid girl born of both heaven and earth who carries a birthmark on her hand that we would be able to identify her by, and she will come and save our people from the shackles of the darkness. You see we've been locked under a spell from the darkness and evils of the world and we cannot leave our clearing. We are hidden from and forgotten until our kind is extinct. Unless this humanoid girl from the stories of our ancestors exists and comes to set us free."

The elf woman reached above her stove in a cupboard and pulled out a little black book. She explained " This Black book was bestowed to my family 17 years ago. It tells the tale of the humanoid girl all of us in the village have heard it and know it but are starting to lose hope that it was actual truth to the legend. This black book has been protected by my family so that the darkness could not know about the birth of this hybrid miracle humanoid child." Cherish looked at the black book and open it. Inside was a tale of an angel name Serafina who loved humans and the earth so much she wanted to be a part of experiencing the love and compassion that she saw.

She was granted passage to walk the Earth as a human but only for a short while. She fell in love with a human and conceived a baby girl. When she gave birth to this baby girl, darkness had fallen over her human husband’s mind and heart, consuming him in evils that Serafina had never seen before. The beacon of light that Serafina passed on to her child was thought to be snuffed out by the darkness. Serafina had no other option but to hide her daughter before she could not bring her back to heaven with her for she was a humanoid and had to earn her passage back to heaven. Seraphina left her at the steps of a building full of children, swaddling her in a blanket made from heavenly silks, and wrapped in medallion around her neck with the word cherish so the individuals receiving her child would know to cherish her child the way she did.

A corner of the blanket was left in the black book, cherish lifted her blankie to see that indeed the missing corner of her blanket was in the black book. She compared the birthmark on her hand to the one drawn in the black book by Serafina. Cherish looked at the elfin woman and started to cry..." Is this my mother? Am I this humanoid miracle child?" The elfin woman said, “It seems to be so. You are due on a remarkable journey to fight the battles of darkness and claim you are true identity. A page in the little black book will guide you to where you need to go to fulfill your destiny. As Cherish continues to read, she noticed that there was a map. Directly from the elf woman's home to a nearby town where it showed a treasure, she was supposed to find. Cherish laid down and rested until sunrise.

When the sun rose the next day the elephant woman packed her a bag of fruits, cheese, bread, and a flask of water. " This will help you on your way be safe child, and let your beacon shine." Cherish embarked on her journey it was only a short while before she came across a weeping willow which the little black book directed her to go. The directions showed if she were to look to the northeast she would find two routes of the weeping willow that would cross making an x. She was directed to dig and once she dug deep enough she would find a box. Cherish remove the box from the dirt inside she found more clues of what her journey was going to consist of. There was $20,000 in gold pieces. This was more money than Cherish had ever seen in her life. With the gold coins were instructions letting her know that each piece of gold has been blessed by heaven.

Cherish is to give these gold pieces to those who have helped her on her journey. Once the gold pieces are given the person receiving them would be blessed beyond measurable contents. Clear instruction was to follow that any being with a selfish heart was to use the gold coins for selfish unholy needs the gold would turn to dust and the holder would be surrounded in plagues. The box also described another in which Cherish was to be made aware of and warned. The boy named scruff, was also a humanoid but different he was born from hell, a half-demon, and half-human. If she were to come across him possibly could be her downfall if his heart cannot be derailed from evil to good. For the heart is only used in fearless actions when guided by love. Cherish had a mission, to defeat the evil brought upon the mythical world, lift the boundary and bring peace to all.
