Calling all Jedi, Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, and Sith!

While San Diego Comic-Con is not happening in person this year, SDCC holds in store a whole host of virtual panels that are sure to satisfy your convention cravings. No waiting for hours in long lines, sweating profusely in uncomfortable cosplays, or struggling to see over the heads of other attendees as you watch from the back row of the convention hall. You will be able to watch anything and everything you want right from the comfort of your couch, all for free, just a few short days from now.

The full SDCC schedule is stacked with five days of fun for fans of all kinds, and it turns out that a few of them are focused on Star Wars. This Friday, July 24, there will be four Star Wars panels that are sure to delve into a variety of Star Wars projects and answer your questions about the future of the galaxy far, far away.

Starting at 10 am (PT) on Friday, kick your Star Wars SDCC adventures off with "The Mandalorian and His Many Gadgets."

Daniel J. Glenn, Dr. Michael Dennin, and Ben Sieser from the podcast Fascinating Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gear-Based Technologies will lead you in a scientific investigation of the Mandalorian's tools of the trade. Join them to learn how Din Djarin made a name for himself as one of the galaxy's most notorious bounty hunters.

Follow this link to find out more about the panel and to watch live on Friday.

Next up, at 11 am (PT), hang around for "Star Wars Audiobooks: Doctor Aphra."

Doctor Aphra is the newest Star Wars audiobook original, adapted from her introduction in the 2015 Marvel Comics series Darth Vader, in which Doctor Aphra joins forces with the titular Sith Lord as he tries to learn more about the pilot who destroyed the Death Star. Narrators Marc Thompson and Emily Woo Zeller, author Sarah Kuhn, and editor Elizabeth Schaefer will tell you all that you need to know about the production of the audiobook, from the first idea to the final product.

Learn more about the panel here and tune in to watch.

Third, at 12pm (PT), learn about the future of the Star Wars books with "Lucasfilm Publishing: Stories From a Galaxy Far, Far Away."

You will hear from authors Timothy Zahn, Alex Segura, Justina Ireland, George Mann, Preeti Chhibber, Tom Angleberger, Rebecca Roanhorse, Greg Pak, and Alyssa Wong as they discuss new projects coming to the Star Wars book sphere. Whether you are a fan of Star Wars books like Zahn's legendary Thrawn Trilogy from the 1990s, or whether you are just getting started expanding your horizons, we can guarantee that this is one you will not want to miss.

Check out more about the panel here and tune in to get the latest scoop.

And, last but not least, in case that was not enough Star Wars for you, hang around for the 1 pm (PT) panel titled "The Psychology of Star Trek vs. Star Wars."

Pop Culture psychologists Dr. Drea Letamendi and Dr. Ali Mattu, along with guests Todd Stashwick of Star Trek: Enterprise and Jennifer Muro of Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, will dive into all things Star Wars and Star Trek in this panel that has become a yearly SDCC staple. Join them for a fun but friendly debate as they discuss the most interesting aspects of psychology in two of the most iconic space franchises.

If you want even more Star Wars (Who can get enough?!), check out DarkInk's exclusive Ahsoka print, now listed for pre-order.

Additionally, though nothing has been officially announced in regards to Hasbro's convention exclusives, Yakface, a collecting site, has revealed rumors about potential items we might see emerge in the coming days for this year's exclusives. These include a Star Wars: The Black Series Wampa, an Endor Heroes set, a Clone Trooper 4-Pack, and a Black Series Cad Bane.

While it is somewhat disappointing that we will not be able to attend SDCC in person this year, we are thrilled with the lineup that the convention is presenting, and even more thrilled that it is free! Check out the other panels for lined up for SDCC, and stay tuned for more convention info.

May the Force be with you!
