Because The First Season Will Be THAT Good

The new Star Wars Disney+ series will air on December 29, 2021. That is nine days away at the writing of this article, and there are already rumors that a second season is possible. Disney studios must be excited. The Star Wars fan base must be ecstatic! Director Robert Rodriquez stated in an interview with a local reporter that a second season of The Book of Boba Fett might not be the whole story of Boba Fett. Robert Rodriguez feels that it is really up to the fan base expectations. If fans were highly pleased with the first season, there may very well be a second season and so on:

"If people really love it, I'm sure they'd want to make more."

The telling of the whole story of the bounty hunter really is "up in the air" right now. Neither Disney or Lucasfilm have confirmed their plans after season one of the series.

Book of Boba Fett is a sort of sequel to The Mandalorian. Season 1 of Book of Boba Fett starts out with Boba Fett and Fennec Shand attempting to govern the underworld of Tatooine after Jabba the Hutt died. Director Robert Rodriguez describes making Book of Boba Fett as starting with a blank slate. Since Boba Fett’s screen time was scarce in the Star Wars Saga Rodriguez says he was able to do anything he wanted as long as he made Boba cool.

John Favreau also commented that Jabba the Hutt was a very fierce crime lord in the Star Wars underworld of Tatooine. It will be interesting to see what Boba Fett and Fennec Shand accomplish. Boba Fett’s partner in crime will make it interesting as well since they both have so much in common as Fennec Shand actress Ming-Na Wen commented:

"They're bonded by the fact that they both lived through a near-death experience. And there is a sense of code that they both abide by…”

These similarities will make the two an energetic duo.

Robert Rodriquez adds that there is a lot of pressure from the Star Wars fan base. He accepts that not everyone will be pleased but his main objective when he writes is that it is something he created, and he can own it whether it was a hit or not. He has the freedom to make it whatever he wants it to be. There should be no reason that Star Wars fans to not be pleased. Boba Fett’s origin is kind of new since there is not much out there about him especially on screen. Of course, other characters in the series will help make Book of Boba Fett a smash. However, just seeing Boba Fett on screen for longer than 2 minutes is exciting. His fighting skills from The Mandalorian were awesome. How did he learn all of that? Adding other characters such as Fennec Shand, and perhaps Cad Bane (if he does appear) will make for a great series and hopefully one that last more than one season.

The Book of Boba Fett should do just as well as The Mandalorian and other Star Wars movies and series. John Favreau and David Filoni and the rest of their crew have been outstanding thus far. Robert Rodriguez has some pressure to make Book of Boba Fett as entertaining as Favreau and Filoni’s Mandalorian. In May 2021, several tweets from The Boba Fett fan club offered some insight into the fan expectations. They also tweeted about the rumor that Season 1 would be titled “Buccaneer,” inferring that there is more than one season planned for Book of Boba Fett.

Robert Rodriguez is very excited about his series and is proud of the work he has completed for Season 1 of The Book of Boba Fett. He and his crew expect that the fans will think it is special. Robert Rodriguez has his own unique design and spice that will make The Book of Boba Fett a very interesting takeaway on Boba Fett’s story.

The first episode of The Book of Boba Fett airs on Disney+ on December 29, 2021.
