For Star Wars fans all over the world, the Skywalker Saga will never cease to amaze. The film will always show many interesting facts that keep surprising fans. Yet nothing is more surprising than some of the amazing behind the scenes moments that have been captured on film, and are now pieces of Star Wars history. Behold, some of those amazing moments, behind the scenes, from the original trilogy, celebrated by fans around the world:

In the photo above, shared by Tell Tales Entertainment’s Twitter, we see the late Peter Mayhew in his Chewbacca costume. A member of the production staff hands Peter the head of Chewbacca. Peter was a very humble man who enjoyed his work, and had fun greeting fans from around the world.

Here, we see a shared photo from his majesty Mark Hamill and co-star Harrison Ford having some fun moments on the set of A New Hope. The friendship of Harrison and Mark is one that remains as strong as the Force itself.

As simple and regular as this photo is, you can also see the amazing chemistry between Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher during filming of A New Hope, and in real life. One can only imagine the conversation they were having.

We get to see two of the most important characters from the entire Skywalker saga. R2-D2, and Sir Alec Guinness on the set of A New Hope. This amazing photo gives us more details on Obi-Wan’s costume, and of course R2 himself. The photo was taken in the desert of Tunisia, which was where most of the Tatooine scenes were shot.

This next photo features a more comedic moment during the filming of A New Hope. We see the actor who portrayed Greedo having a cigarette next to the creator himself, George Lucas. It is always amazing to see sweet moments like this one behind the camera in a film.

Here we have the late Carrie fisher as Princess Leia being questioned by Dave Prowse who played Vader, and the late Peter Cushing, who portrayed the Death Star’s commander, Grand Moff Tarkin. In this photo, we see a really wonderful moment between takes, where Lucas rehearsed the scene where Vader and Tarkin met with Princess Leia. The master himself was seeing these wonderful and talented actors bring his vision to life.

In this beautiful moment from Episode V, Mark Hamill and Frank Oz are preparing to shoot the training scene between Luke and Grand Master Yoda. This scene also displays Luke's first moments as in his Jedi training.

This photo is from one of the most important moments in Star Wars history. The crew and actors were getting ready to shoot the most shocking reveal in the history of cinema.

This amazing behind-the-scene photo shows the late Carrie Fisher getting ready to shoot her escape from Jabba's palace in Return of the Jedi.

In this nostalgic photo, we see a young Warwick Davis on the set of Endor as the director gets him ready for his first Star Wars debut as Wicket the Ewok.

This is proof that the prequels do have several practical effects as seen in this miniature set for the podrace arena in The Phantom Menace.

This hilarious behind-the-scene photo shows Ray Park in full Darth Maul makeup as he looks through the lens of the camera.

This beautiful black and white photo shows the creator himself directing Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen as they prepare to shoot one the first love scenes between Padme and Anakin in Attack of the Clones.

The epic behind-the-scene photo above shows a shot from the final Battle of Geonosis between the Jedi and the droid army, which also features Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Samuel L Jackson, and Ewan McGregor.

Here we have Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor rehearsing for the emotional confrontation between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan, in Revenge of the Sith.

In yet another wonderful behind-the-scene photo from Episode III, we see George Lucas and Ian McDiarmid in full Emperor Palpatine attire having a Lion King moment.

The photo above shows the beginning of the prequel era with Daisy Ridley as Rey, shooting her on the Jakku set in The Force Awakens.

These touching photos show the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, and her daughter Billie in her Star Wars debut. What better way to experience Star Wars than to share it with Princess Leia herself, especially if she is your real mother.

Almost 40 years later, we finally got to see a reunion between Master Yoda and Luke. We see both Mark Hamill and Frank Oz getting ready to shoot their scene in The Last Jedi.

This wonderful and dark photo shows Adam Driver in full Kylo Ren gear, as he prepares to smash Kylo Ren’s helmet on the wall.

Here we have Daisy Ridley doing some stunt work as as Dark Rey as during the Rey VS Dark Rey scene in Rise of Skywalker.

As we close this amazing journey that is the Skywalker Saga, here is a photo of Warwick Davis returning as Wicket the Ewok for Rise of Skywalker. Here he is showing his son the end of his journey.

These amazing photos are not only part of Star Wars history, but also show us the many fun memories that were had during the filming process. The amount of care, love, and passion from the actors will always be appreciated. There are still many secret hidden gems out there from Star Wars, waiting to be discovered. These behind-the-scenes photos only leave us fans wanting more.
