Back Then People Could Change Themselves

Today I saw this video of a mother crying. She was sad because her son was sick. He couldn't move or even talk. She was so scared he wouldn't be able to breathe anymore. Then this group of doctors and scientists helped her son get a new body. It was so cool! He could walk around and talk to his mom again and he even got to keep his old body. He did have some implants that helped his old body breathe but eventually, they found a way to move his mind into the new body. It was like downloading info from a computer onto a new one. Pretty awesome!

He wore this machine on his head. I guess his mind could connect to the machine body and he could do almost everything he used to do in his old body. The only thing he couldn't do was eat or drink anything but could touch and feel things again. It made us really happy to see him hug his mom again. His mom was so happy she couldn't stop crying. It's weird how we can be sad then be so happy we still cry.

Back then people could build their own body parts. If they were sick or needed something like a new heart or arm, whatever they needed someone would make it for them and put it inside or on their body. It was like replacing parts in machines. The new machine parts were even better than the parts they were born with. It was amazing! like the man in the video people could even get a whole new body. I guess the technology only got better and people were getting better implants and bodies. People could become faster and stronger.

It's kind of weird drawing on this old tablet thing. Lawan says it's better than wasting paper. She is right though. I don't want to run out of sketch journals. It's a little weird writing and drawing on it but I'm getting used to it.

I guess people could put parts or devices in their brains too. They could put these tiny computer chips in their heads and it made them smarter. Some people got better vision too. They used machine eyes or chips in their brains. Sometimes both. I saw this on the screen and wanted to catch everything it showed. I wonder how much smarter he was after they put those in his head.

Back then people could change themselves. If they didn't want to be a boy or a girl anymore they could switch or become something else. It must have been a really cool time. You could just grow and buy a new body part or have it built somewhere or have your entire body switched to something else.

We saw a video of a man who wanted to mix his mind with his dog. He was one of the first people who got to try out this technology. So he transferred his conscious or consciousness. Something like that. His mind, from his robot to his dog. He used a dog collar kind of machine to talk to people. I guess this man lived on Mars. I guess people still try to go there. I wonder if anybody is still there. We have seen rockets taking off from the ground before. Maybe they were going to Mars!

We used to have an old Exosuit type of machine. We could move anything with it. We saw some images of men working in these things and they were much bigger and could lift heavier stuff. They remind me of characters in comic books!

The tribe tries to keep us kids safe from danger. Back then people used robots and drones to keep themselves safe or fight their battles. If they couldn't use those types of machines they used their Exosuit and mech machines to fight. It must have been scary to watch your enemy charging at you in one of those things. The old Exo thing we had was much smaller but it made working easier. They never let the kids play with it but I got to wear it and walk around in it once while some of the Elders watched me.

I hear there are people out there in other tribes or in the Punished Lands who might have this technology. I hear there are groups of people who still fight each other or try to take their parts and machines away from them. Elder Zue says even though the civilization from before is gone, everyone is still very much like them. No one knows how to be peaceful. It makes me sad. I hear there are tribes of people who are just robots or have become machines from a long time ago. I hope one day I can meet them!
