Even The Falcon himself can’t deny his love for Star Wars and its amazing characters.

There is no doubt that Anthony Mackie has made a name for himself within Hollywood. From appearing in Black Mirror, to his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, portraying the role of Sam Wilson (The Falcon). Mackie has had a wonderful run portraying The Falcon throughout the Infinity Saga, who built a great friendship with the character Steve Rogers (Captain America).

Spoilers for Avengers: Endgame ahead!

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, an older Steve Rogers passes on his famous shield to Mackie’s character Sam Wilson, which of course made the fans suspect that he will be the next Captain America. Many also believe that Sebastian Stan’s character Bucky Barnes would be the next Captain America. The fans hope all these questions will be answered in the new upcoming Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter soldier, which will be premiering in March of this year, on Disney+.

Mackie appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden this past Wednesday to talk about the acclaimed new series, which follows The Falcon and Bucky through many adventures after the events of Avengers: Endgame. After an entertaining discussion about the many fan theories about the show, the host James Corden asked Mackie if he could reveal an item fans would never get to see unless they were at his house, as part of one of the show’s segment called Late Late Show and Tell.

“I met a guy who I idolize as a kid, and I wanted to be this character my entire career. They recently made a show about this character, and I told my manager that, if I wasn’t cast as this character, I would never talk to you again, and you be eating pork and beans in West Hollywood. I wasn’t cast as the character but, I met the actor Jimmy Bulloch who signed this for me.”

Mackie followed by taking his priceless Boba Fett Helmet out of a glass box, and showed it off to Corden. The helmet itself was in perfect conditions and displayed an almost perfect Jeremy Bulloch signature. As he showed off the helmet, Mackie talked about how cool and humble Bulloch was, and how grateful he was that Bulloch signed the helmet for him.

Stunned by the amazing relic, Corden continued by asking bandleader Reggie Watts if he had any questions for Mackie. Reggie asked the actor if the targeting system in the helmet still worked, showing off his Star Wars knowledge. Mackie explained that the helmet was a replica, and followed by talking about his custom motorcycle helmet.

“ Can I run and go get it right now?” said Mackie with all the excitement in the world.

Being the amazing host he is, Corden agreed to this, and patiently waited for the actor to return. Mackie returned with a beautiful custom painted motorcycle helmet, which of course resembled Boba Fett’s helmet. The actor told Reggie and James that during filming of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Cincinnati, Ohio, he asked the makeup artist if he could paint his motorcycle helmet.

The makeup artist agreed, giving Mackie one of the coolest helmets out there. Mackie ended the interview with a huge smile on his face as he showed off his treasures, saying “It doesn’t get better than this” as Corden thanked him for being on the show.

This is just another reminder of the impact Star Wars has on all of its fans. Star Wars is not only a timeless story, but also a story for fans of all ages, and from all walks of life.
