An Intuitive Look at the Earth Signs in Astrology

The earth signs are the backbone of the zodiac. They are the glue that holds the rest of us together. Or the glue in your chart that holds it all together for you. They are reliable, dedicated, and often quite thoughtful.

I have been an intuitive reader for many years, not an astrology reader oddly enough. Yet, I love astrology and I noticed that much of the information out there on astrology signs is a little basic. Using intuitive abilities, I took a look at each sign, for a more in-depth look at the signs.

There are twelve astrology signs, but for this article I am focusing on the three Earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. When readings about signs, start by reading your sun sign but follow up by reading your moon sign and rising signs.

Taurus the Steadfast

You can always spot a Taurus, they give off strength and a little of their classic stubbornness too. Taurus likes practical things. They are reliable and expect those around them to be as well. They can be extremely blunt at times, never one to sugarcoat the truth. They are excellent providers and take providing for those they love very seriously.

Taurus can be indulgent and needs to watch their habit of doing so. They can get a little too comfortable in routines and need to remember to shake things up from time to time. Taurus, the bull, is strong-willed they will fight for those they love. They are so strong they often forget to share their load in life and try to do it all alone.

Taurus in love

Taurus is loyal and devoted when in love. They are very committed. They do have high expectations for their partners, other signs are rarely going to match Taurus's practical behavior! As mentioned before, they can fall into getting too comfortable in routines and this can make for a stale relationship.

If you are with a Taurus try taking them out to a new restaurant or favorite activity to remind them they can break out of their comfort zone once in a while.

They want to provide for those they love and most will be happiest in a traditional, domestic setting.

What might surprise you about Taurus

Many of them are good cooks, feeling particularly at home in the kitchen where they can create comforting dishes to their heart’s delight.

Virgo the Thinker

Virgo’s think a lot, they are always analyzing. There can be a lot to think about as Virgo seems to be front and center in witnessing the weirdest things. They won’t be able to turn away either, Virgo’s have an irresistible urge to stare at things, for much longer than the average person would. They often make awkward eye contact as a result.

This sometimes backfires on Virgo as many of them get grossed out easily and will gag at certain foods, smells, and sounds. I had a friend with a Virgo rising who would gag repeatedly whenever someone made a spitting sound, she didn't have to see it, just the sound was enough.

Virgo’s have a strong connection to health, they are typically well informed about their own health issues as well as diet, supplements, exercise, and the like. They can be injury and accident-prone so it comes in handy that they know a lot about self-care.

Virgo in love

When a Virgo opens their heart they expect it to be given back. They can be fussy at times. They want to take care of their loved ones, but they want it to be in the way they feel is best. After all, they take a lot of time to determine what is best for their partner and feel their advice should be followed. They can be awkward at times and critical, but they love deeply.

They also love to flirt so be sure your Virgo is serious about commitment and not just having a playful flirt with you.

They know a lot and are eager to share their knowledge, especially if it is related to health and wellness.

Capricorn the Mountain Climber

Capricorn is a dedicated sign. When Cap has set their sights on something they are very motivated to make it happen. Resilient and headstrong, they march toward their goal step by step in an extremely determined manner. They can be methodical when they have decided on something, their hard work, and effort unrivaled.

There is a softer side to the goat. They love family and are the sign of the father, in fact. Many Capricorns find a great deal of happiness in domestic pursuits. Like Taurus, they want their home to be comfortable, a retreat from the world. They want to be surrounded by those they love and, importantly, who love them. They like to make people laugh, especially those they love, with their dry, sarcastic wit.

Capricorns need reassurance from their partners even though their tough exteriors might lead you to think otherwise. They often show their affection by teasing or pulling pranks so be ready to laugh it off when your Cap partner pulls a clever prank on you, again. Capricorns are very loyal; when they fall in love they mean it. They can be very direct, but they do run a little shy, especially when it comes to love.

What might surprise you about Capricorn

They do not like criticism, it is not considered constructive, it’s unwanted. They do appreciate compliments but don't lay it on too thick.
