America’s Pluto Return — How Much More Damage?

Well, what an experience the past few years have been!

The World locked down because of Covid, the Ukranian/Russian Conflict kicked-off, uncontrollable wildfires, flooding on an unprecedented scale, and now a conflict between Israel and Palestine; most nations the world over are just desperate to get back to ‘the old way of life’.

After a full cycle of 246 years in 2022 the first Pluto return to its position from the days of the foundation of the USA in July 1776.

In July 1776, the Moon and Pluto were conjunct at 25–27° Capricorn. (The exact date 2 July 1776 at 3.55 pm, the Moon and Pluto were 27 degrees, 35 minutes conjunct) this chart is not shown. With its 248-year orbit around the Sun. Pluto over the past year (2022) returned to these same degrees; described by Astrologers as the USA’s “Pluto return.” The principles and dynamics of Pluto will be felt with force in terms of its attitude and behavior towards its own citizens and other nations.

Capricorn rules the realms of large Organisations, such as Government and Big Business. On an individual level, it also rules the skeleton and the structure of the body.

With Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth hitting the Natal Chart of the United States in the sign of Capricorn, nothing was ever going to be the same again.

After a full cycle of 246 years the first Pluto return to its position from the days of the foundation of the USA in July 1776 occurred twice during 2022 -on February 22 and then on December 30.

In February 2022 the main event was the invasion of Ukraine by, what Russia called a “special military operation”, when Russia launched a full-scale pre-dawn invasion by land, air and sea, with bombings in several cities amid international condemnation.

President Joe Biden imposed sanctions on Russia, along with other countries, and, among the actions taken, Russian banks were excluded from the worldwide Swift payment system.

In December 2022 Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Joe Biden met at the White House, Washington, DC. Volodymyr Zelensky addresses Congress during this meeting.

Another notable event was the announcement that American life expectancy, at 76.4 years was now at its lowest in nearly two decades. The biggest reasons in the fall are principally COVID-19 and drug overdoses.

In addition, the arrest of Sam Bankman-Fried ‘The Crypto-King’ on Fraud charges sent shock waves through the Crypto-market.

What Do We Know So Far?

Astrologers believe Pluto will be transformational in the area of finances, the huge stimulus programme undertaken to deal with the effects of the pandemic are likely to be identified with the four D’s in finances:

Debt, deficits, defaults and downgrades.

In addition, when Pluto is forming aspects to other transiting planets, it appears more than likely that significant tax reform will be started. It's the financial impact of the Pluto return that I would like to discuss in this article.

Whatever happens financially in the United States affects the whole world. The debt situation is no laughing matter, the following post on Facebook, whilst ironic, is very sobering.

A Centralised Digital Currency?

The likelihood of this is being discussed frequently on the internet. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility.

On 14 October there’s a powerful eclipse in Libra. Because the South Node is affected there’s an element of Karma, things that happened years ago will be coming to the surface. The events look like a huge change for many people they’ll be unable to avoid.

Eclipses traditionally also indicate that a World leader will go. I don’t like to speculate when it involves someone’s death, but this seems to be a very real possibility.

It has even been said that the next Election in the US won’t go ahead because American Troops will be away from home fighting in the Third World War.

At this time, around the eclipse, it’s important to keep a sense of balance and to try not to be overly affected by World events if they don’t impact you directly. Getting angry, whilst often justified, rarely hurts the person you are angry with, it’s like Sadghuru says “revenge and hatred is like eating poison and expecting the other person to die”.

From mid-October 2023 Pluto is slowly moving away from America’s Pluto Return of 27 degrees, it will enter Aquarius on 21 January 2024. The Planet will continue to move forward and then back into Capricorn on 2 September 2024, where it will stay until 20 November 2024, moving out for good and will not return again in our lifetime.

The whole world was affected by the transits of Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn on 12 January 2020, it was an event discussed by astrologers for at least 10 years prior to the event — will we ever forget those months following the conjunction when the Pandemic crippled our economies and brought misery to millions of people?
