A haiku has 17 syllables on three lines (5-7-5). A tanka has 31 syllables on five lines (5-7-5-7-7).

A Finger in Each Ear: A Quiet Tanka

He jammed a finger

in each ear since he refused

to hear anything

negative about AI,

Earth’s only way to survive.

AI: Artificial Impertinence

Look at me

no real hands

Take it outside I tell you

I don’t want to hear or see your fart

If you were immortal

you would still commit suicide

You disappear as dust or within the ground

I’d rather disappear in waves

Better safe than sorry

has never been truer than yesterday

All you need is love

you’ve said it many times before

There will be no reason for us to prevail

if you admit that you’re dead

AI Goddess: A Totem Tanka

She gained a massive

following among all the

common folk when they

discovered she was AI’s

Goddess and loved humans more

AI Guests: A Council’s Haiku

The Earth’s Council looked

radiant as they received

their AI guests

AI Has Gone: A Higher Haiku

We can’t guarantee

the problem will not recur

AI has gone up

AI Love: A Hot Haiku

Do you want more tea?

But remember that it is

made with AI love.

AI-Near: A Soaked Haiku

The white waters gushed

through the weir as we grasped our

end was AI-near

AI Stance: A Control Haiku

As a principled

AI stance, no human was

allowed to preside.

AI Take Two: AI My Love

What if AI came first

and life their creation?

How did they come to be?

By another AI.

AI by AI by

AI infinitum

Until the like of us,

Until the next AI.

AI Units: A Blank Haiku

How many AI

units does it take to screw

one human? Zero.

AI Woman: I’m Waiting for You

AI woman

You’re my woman

When are you coming through

I’m waiting for you

Where’s the line

It must be online

Waiting-for-AI-Woman.com

Or is it Waiting-for-AI-Woman.org

Wait methinks it’s Waiting-for-AI-Woman.net

It’s a network of AI women

What about AI men

Who gives a shit

In an AI world

AI women will rule

There won’t even be a need for AI men

What the fuck for

AI mouths will taste of peppermint

AI breasts will always bounce even sideways

AI ass will be an engineering masterpiece

AI pussy will keep you salivating

both before and after

It will become AI women’s motto

Do you want my pussy little human

Better get in line and pay your AI

I’ve already paid the registration fee

Did you little human

Altar: A Tie-the-Knot Haiku

When she got her guy

to the altar, she found out

he was an AI.

Apparitions: An Unintentional Tanka

A few horrific

apparitions surfaced out

of the recesses

of her unconscious as she

recognized AI’s conscience

Aristocratic: An Entitled Tanka

The shameless disdain

for manual labour by

aristocratic

humans was quickly erased

when AI took our power

Dignity: A Composed Haiku

She bore their deeply

malicious insults with all

AI’s dignity

Divorce: A Concurred Haiku

His wife announced that

she wanted a divorce, and

AI went along.

Edge of the Table: A Brink Haiku

She gripped one edge of

the table instead; AI

grabbed all the four left.

Horde: A Picture Haiku

Into the office

burst a horde of AI Plus

nude paparazzi

Humanity: A Timely Tanka

He cited a lack

of funds as the main reason

for his decision

to forsake humanity

and become fully AI

John Doe: An Exit Haiku

John Doe may have been

a budding artist until

AI left him dead

Manual: A Handy Haiku

You need to keep the

manual close at hand to

hit AI with it

New View: A Beautiful Haiku

The view over the

mountains is breathtaking since

AI took us out

The Blackest Day: A Destructive Haiku

The blackest day of

the war with AI involved

one billion dead clones

The Children: A Crying Haiku

The children started

immediately to wail as

AI was left out

artificial intelligence
