Feyre's survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill - the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price ...

Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre's presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.

If you love fantasy with a blending of emotion, danger, faerie magical creatures and a heroic woman that shows a significant arrangement of boldness throughout, this is the book for you.

The world-building is creative and point by point. The various Courts are a component that adds extraordinary creativity to this story. From the outset, A Court of Thorns and Roses might appear similar to plenty of fantasy books already written, however, the further you read, the more you come to descry its bright lines molding the notable great sprinkled with wonderful subjects and... erotic nature. The world Sarah J. Maas created is so rich and dark and gloomy but also happy and hopeful and full of light, I truly enjoyed reading about it. I always get bored, to be honest, with descriptions and politics of different worlds but this one excites me. I want to delve more into this world.

The romance

I ship these two so hard, When he sent her away I wanted to cry, scream and throw the book. He gave her a piece of him and then made her leave. The romance was amazing, At first, I felt like the entire novel would only be about the connection between Feyre and Tamlin and I didn't quite enjoy that but after all the revelations and the twists in the plot; the romance was used wisely. I didn't expect that because I have heard lots of things about this book and then we have Rhysand... this dark, handsome (from the great detailing I know he's a hottie for sure) who has a gloomy past. This will become a triangle, I can see it. But I'm here for it. I love the heat Maas's romances convey in me.

Sarah J. Maas' writing is so convincing. Feyre, the courageous woman, is both a huntress and a painter. Her quality doesn't go unnoticed, and neither does her dauntlessness. There were minutes in the story when I wanted to yell at her for being Incompetent but it worked out. This book is indescribable the only thing that upset me is I dove in expecting a beauty and beast retelling like everyone have mentioned but the only Beauty and the Beast connections are Feyre having to live with Tamlin because of her killing the "wolf" and Tamlins Curse, but that's entirely my fault going off others thoughts

This book really put me through emotions I didn't think were possible when reading and I love Mrs. Maas for doing that with her incredible storytelling this book deserves nothing less than five stars because of it
