According to renders, the Google Pixel 8 will be a delightfully diminutive flagship.

Pixel leak season is here. This week, we finally got a good look at the Google Pixel 8 Pro and its lovely flat screen, and we've heard that the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a could go on sale sooner than anticipated. And now, thanks to renders based on stolen assets, we get our first glimpse at the Google Pixel 8.

OnLeaks, a well-known leaker, collaborated with MySmartPrice to create the new renderings, which offer us a look at the Pixel 8. The initial impression of the Pixel 8 is comparable to that of the Pixel 6, which Google first debuted and then further improved with the Pixel 7. Only a selfie camera in the upper middle of the screen at the front is the only thing keeping it from having the same visor-style camera array that spans across the top of the back as a bar. But you might have noticed that it appears noticeably smaller, and you're not mistaken. The Pixel 8 is expected to have a 5.8-inch screen that is only 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9 millimeters in size. (or 12mm when you include the camera).

This is incredibly small when compared to the Google Pixel 7, which has a 6.3-inch screen. It's even more compact than the low-cost Pixel 6a's 6.1-inch screen, which is a risky decision on Google's part. Even though businesses like Asus defied this trend with the 5.9-inch Asus Zenfone 9 and previous smartphones, bigger has long been regarded as better. The decision will help Google stand out from the competition and make the Pixel 8 a much more compelling option than the Pixel 8 Pro, which is now available with a large flat screen rather than a curved option.

The screen has even bezels at the top and bottom, if the renders are completely correct. The Pixel 8 is a much-needed improvement in that area because the Pixel 7 is one of the few devices in its price range that still has a lower bezel that is noticeably larger than the top one.

The renders also suggest that the rear of the Pixel 8 may be more rounded than the back of the Pixel 7. It might be simpler to hold in one hand as a result, which may end up being the favored method of use for this phone. The Pixel 8 would match its Pro pendant if the frame were also composed of polished metal, which it appears to be. The Pixel 7 had a brushed metal frame in the past.

It's possible that Google will unveil the Pixel 8 series to the public for the first time at Google I/O 2023, its yearly developer conference. The Pixel Watch, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel 7 series were first revealed in official form by the business in 2017. The Pixel Tablet has yet to be released.

Tech enthusiasts are already buzzing about the Pixel 8, and many are anxiously awaiting its release. It will be fascinating to see how consumers respond to this choice because the renders indicate that the phone will be a delightful departure from the current trend of larger screens. While some people might find the small size appealing, others might prefer a bigger display for multitasking, playing games, or watching videos.

However, the Pixel 8's smaller size doesn't mean it will be lacking in features or speed. It's anticipated to be a powerhouse with cutting-edge specifications and sophisticated features. According to rumors, the phone will have the most recent Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, as well as a premium camera setup and cutting-edge software features.
