Ender's Game

Genius is a lonely person but walking alone will make us stronger.

Born the third child in a family that both his brother and sister had participated in the test to find talent, it was Third, an "unexpected" baby but a "tool". Ender is not chosen for its appearance, not for the life it desires but it is all a plan. No family, no friends by his side, he had to learn to fight on his own. It is said that "isolation is the best environment to create" but is that too cruel to Ender? Literature has the ability to penetrate, record and deepen the most subtle changes in the human soul, thoughts and emotions. For that reason, Ender in me is clearly concerned with concerns, including anxiety, standing between the boundaries of reason and affection. That Ender is not fighting to become the best commander but fighting with himself.

The book has led us to reflections on the journey to escape from "the arrangement" to be yourself. We do not choose the way we appear but we can choose the attitude of life and happiness as ourselves. Literature's ability to touch the human soul deepens the image of Ender - not only a genius but also a normal person with all complex emotions and thoughts.

The appeal, charisma and drama of the actual battles, the intricate internal happenings of the characters as well as the meaningful messages of the work have created a great inspiration for filmmakers. "Ender's game" has been adapted into a movie. "Ender's Fight" with a huge investment in the techniques to create special space as the writer described it, the film somewhat depicts the harshness of the real battle environment. However, to satisfy the imagination of the viewer and the feeling of fluctuations in the character's mind, the film does not necessarily touch the "end" of the "small universe" - people.

"Ender's game" has been made into a movie with great investment, but it is difficult to compare the two products from two art forms. With the capacity limitation and type characteristics being the direct impact on the reader through "audiovisual", the film adaptation is difficult in the process of expressing the inner character deeply. In contrast, literature uses verbal materials with intangible images, so it can express the most subtle things, the micro variations in human thoughts and emotions. For that reason, each reader has an Ender for himself. If cinema offers an even more subjective and specific Ender, literature makes the reader imaginable, whereby the character image gradually appears throughout the reading process. Images can only be completed upon reception. The image of Ender in the "battle of Ender" is the image of Ender in Gavin Hood's mind, so Gavin's Ender is different from Scott's Ender, it seems that the movie with its own purpose has been built. to create a hero in action movies instead of a genius - ordinary people with very human mentality. But the special thing is that the book is folded but not necessarily ended the process of receiving and thinking. Even when the reading process is complete, there will still be an Ender existing in our minds, along the journey of living with us, only to follow the changes of time and experience that will generate new thoughts. , another feeling about "old" Ender. Perhaps at some point in our life we encounter an Ender within ourselves, we become alone and lost in our journey, but above all we will be a pondering Ender, an Ender living with his left. heart and sincerity.
