"Mommy, why aren't there any green mammals?
"Why do you ask, Dela?"
"I love animals, all kinds of animals. And green is my favorite color.
"Well, most animals are the colors of the places where they live so creatures that might want to eat them can't find them."
"But Mommy, lots of squirrels and dogs and cats and people live in green places. So why aren't they green?"
"I don't know, Dela. Sometimes the best we can do is guess."
"The world is wonderful, Mommy."
"Yes, the world is full of wonders."
