The business owner

Business owners would want their landing page to be neat and tidy in order to make it as easy as possible for potential customers to navigate. However, when the layout is too complicated, customers are not willing to invest the time into figuring out how to navigate through the site. This means that business owners will lose interest in what they have on offer because there is no way for them to find it. Customers on the other hand will lose interest in buying anything from your site if they cannot find what they need quickly. They may even decide to leave your site altogether in favour of one that does not look like an episode of Hoarders. You do not want this to happen so you should keep things looking organised at all times. Here are some ways you can do this:

1) Use heading levels to group related content together.

2) Use headings to break up information into bite-sized chunks.

3) Keep typography consistent throughout the entire site.

The web designer

While many web designers will make an effort to keep the design of their landing pages clean and minimal, some don't. They may have intentions to use animated graphics or flash elements, but they end up cluttering the page in order to get attention. This ends up frustrating visitors when they can't find what they're looking for. When web designers create a messy landing page, there are two parties that lose: the visitor and the designer. The visitor loses because he/she becomes frustrated trying to find the information he/she is looking for. The designer loses because his/her goals were not achieved by creating a dirty landing page that is hard to navigate. He/she has failed as a designer and created something that did not please the customer. There is no winner when it comes to designing messy landing pages, only losers on both sides. Web designers must understand how important it is to keep a site clean and minimal so people can easily locate what they need. Visitors deserve better than having to hunt through piles of dirt to find the prize at the bottom.

The user

Landing page messes are usually the result of not following the best practices of web design. When designing a landing page, it's always best to have one main call-to-action button that visitors can't miss, include only relevant information on the page, and make sure your images are high quality. Landers need to be designed so they're simple enough for visitors to understand what they offer in just a glance. These things will help you turn potential customers into loyal customers who will gladly give you their business again and again. You want them to be happy with their purchase or they'll simply take their business elsewhere. A study by Internet Retailer found that 87% of shoppers have abandoned shopping carts because they couldn't find what they were looking for on the company website. In other words, it pays off to make your site as easy as possible for customers to navigate through--even if it means simplifying some aspects of the site's content or removing unnecessary features from the site entirely.
